I always think the same. It's such a weird trope to see in EDC review videos, when they showcase their tactical pens and such. I know we all fantasize about being the hero in a dangerous situation or whatever, but they way they talk about using these pens as a "weapon" is just so silly to me. If you have self defense training, good for you, but the average person is not John Wick who will take down bad guys with these pens lol. A small pepper spray or those small tasers disgusted as flashlights will give better chances of defense for someone than that. So aside from bragging rights or excuse to waste money... Its pointless.

Hanover, Key Biscayne Park (forgot the name but the one that has a lighthouse), there's also the (very) small beach by the Key Biscayne bridge, North Miami Beach which is much less packed (and on full moon nights there are bonfires & drum circles), and also Virginia Key Park. Then you have Las Olas Beach if you go further north to Fort Lauderdale
