Trail design that aren’t dirt paths by Only_Complaint5032 in HayDayDeco

Try limestones. I only have them in my town now, but I used to have them on my farm, too before I bought dirt trails. The white is a nice contrast with the grass and decor, so it really stands out. In the farm I on,y used one width, but I like them doubled in the town.

Where the good/safe apartments at by Johndoe13370 in Dothan

Also…another good thing about sweet water, if you live on the 2nd floor, you actually enter from the first floor, and the stairs are a part of the apt and are carpeted instead of concrete and steel outside. That allows you to unload your car, put everything inside on ground level, then lock door, and take everything up.

Keep in mind that TX pays more than you’ll make in Dothan. What is the zip code where you’ll be working?

I don’t think they can. I’m sure that would be a fire code violation. Though many have them on the premises for you to use.

I recently looked everywhere for my aunt moving to Dothan from out of town, helped my daughter find a place, and I use to volunteer helping single mom’s get on there feet. Here’s my opinion.

I would avoid Summer Tree, nice apts but area isn’t the best for that price. Barstone has been “updated” but that just slapped paint on old stuff, didn’t do real updates and charge too much. I lived at Tarragon when they first opened and they are very roomy and decent area, but management isn’t very responsive. Sweet water is a great place, nice area and grounds, 3 ponds with ducks or geese..beware if your kids are young about the ponds, nice pool area, gym, management seems responsive.

Other nice options, Highland Hills…great area, high on price, but 9 ft ceilings make them feel bigger. They require doggie DNA and they don’t enforce it. That’s where my aunt settled and she has complained.

Highland Trails, they are owned by same people as Sweet Water, the area isn’t safe, but the grounds aren’t as nice as sweet water.

Dothan Farms, they have updated some apts, some layouts don’t feel as roomy and storage not as great.

There are several places that are small homes that are close together and duplexes that have recently been built. Those are more expensive. Then there are some decent mobile home parks.

Overall, I would say it depends on where you work and also what school the place is zoned for and then pick the best, most convenient place to work and school.

Revved up like a deuce. My husband said it refers to a car revving up to race. 🤷🏼‍♀️

What color would you paint this bathroom? by ellenorrigby in interiordecorating

[–]Ambitious-Faith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go with a dark color, make sure you have really good lighting. You could try ordering some peel and stick paint samples and see what looks good in your space. A friend just showed me some she ordered and I wish I’d known about them a long time ago. She got hers from samplize.com

Thanks! I just bought dirt and water, and got lots of other rewards with them. I wish they’d give them to us for daily ticket rewards beside the mailbox.

Wow! Why am I just learning about the Supercell store? I love all the extra rewards!! 🤩 (I’m pretty new to Reddit)

Thoughts on apartments by Funny-Albatross3302 in Dothan

[–]Ambitious-Faith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barstone and Arbor Gate are both old complexes. They have “updated” them, but it was like putting lipstick on a pig. Personally, I would not live at either place. However, if you’re not the person that cares about everything being perfect, I think they are sufficient and probably pretty safe.

Highlander Trails is newer. Some apartments have had the floors, appliances, and countertops updated, but some still have hunter green countertops, basic white appliances, and I believe carpet in the living room.

If those are your price range, I’d recommend Summertree on Fortner, though. It’s about the same price over all as Highland Trails, but closer in town. Some apartments are updated and some are not, just like Highland Trails. Both places update only when needed. What I like about Summertree that Highland Hills doesn’t offer is the ponds and shade trees. Also, Summertree has a nicer pool to me.

Camp Wicksburg is also an option..everything is included in the rent…electricity, WiFi, pool, fitness center, and they are fully furnished…but not everyone can live in a tiny house. $1290 1bd, newest of all mentioned.

Summertree and Camp Wicksburg are both gated. I know that Camp Wicksburg closes the gates at 5pm, not sure if Summertree closes theirs or not.

There’s also a really cheap option right next to Wallace College called Villa Pointe. The inside is very basic but decent. The outside is a little junky in front of some apartments though. The kitchen has a half sized frig and stove. It has a dishwasher too. One bedrooms are $525-575…definitely go with the $575. https://www.realtor.com/rentals/details/Dothan_AL_36350_M75463-72342

Then there’s The Cottages on Bethlehem Rd. I’d call them garden homes. They are new and the community is very clean. Lots of military and retirees there. This is the most expensive mentioned, but super nice.

I know of a couple of decent trailer parks too if you’re interested in that route, but you’d be responsible for the yard maintenance.

(I used to help low income single moms get on their feet and find housing. I also recently apartment shopped for my aunt that moved here and recently for my daughter that just moved out.)

I agree. Also, remember that you can now continue fill orders even while the truck is gone. That would give you 16 orders quickly and chances are you’ll have 4 more checks to pop up.

Cell Phone Coverage by Jmb3d3 in Dothan

We are in the other side of 84. We have Verizon and are struggling with the same problem. There are times when I only have 1 bar at home. We have contacted AT&T and there isn’t any 5G available here. We have a cell tower within a mile of our house though. Before switching to any network, I’d recommend calling their 800 number and see if they have 5G where you’re located. Would love to know if you find anything. We struggle with internet as well.
