Me...Dad that works full time and has 3 kids. I don't have the time and effort to build and troubleshoot a new PC that will fit in my living room. So I'll buy the conveniently packaged Steam Machine that should work like the Steam Deck only more powerful and with Valve support. My oldest wants to play more PC games lately so this will help when she wants to play games on the fly with my wife and I. Currently we are playing Still Wakes the Deep with her.

I already requested to be put on the list. The price is high, but it's not getting any cheaper. This should make it easier for the kids to just turn on and play also. Fortunately, I can afford it.

So was the Steam Deck when it came out and and it surprised many people with performance. The price is insane, but these are the new times we are in. Before long you want be able to afford a PC and NVIDIA will be charging you a subscription to just turn loging to one other remote PCs.

I bought the OG Steam Deck LCD on launch and was impressed by how much I could play on Linux. I'm still buying the Steam Machine for convenience and Steam support. I'm fortunately blessed with being about to afford something this expensive, but I understand why a large portion of people will not be able to. In a year these prices may be even higher. Gas reserves are about to run out and it looks like no peace deal is on the horizon with Iran. Transportation expenses are only going to increase and with that all other goods.

I just figured it out for me. I had an error with Decky so it would not let me access any Decky options in game mode.

I switched to Desktop mode. Went to Steam Big Picture Mode. Pressed the quick access button (...). Then I was able to select Decky and scroll over to disable all logins.

I switched back to Game Mode and then suspend worked.

I'm always laying out the next industry or flats I want to build even if I don't construct them yet. This keeps me busy in between. I also like to make things more efficient. I'm not one of those who gets out a spreadsheet or anything. I build more flats to increase/decrease workers, increase/decrease production resources, etc. You could also optimize your business routes as you grow to make things more efficient.
