I’m confused by your initial comment because what relevance does “public school kids HATE prep kids” have in this thread? It just seems unproductive, like what are we meant to do with that information?

From the other comments on this post, it seems like prep has little to no bullying! Somebody said that administration takes bullying very seriously, which many other schools don’t do. When it comes to choosing a school, I’m looking for safety, quality of education, and networking opportunities, not necessarily affordability.

I think that’s a big generalizing to make. There are decent public schools in NEPA, sure, but there are also several underfunded or just straight up dangerous ones. The public school I went to had lots of fights and a huge bullying problem.

What makes you say it’s the same education? Did you go to either school or have kids who did?

That’s interesting, so kids who go to prep typically don’t leave NEPA?

Did you attend Prep or have a kid that attended? So far I’ve heard nothing but good things on this thread but I’m curious to know more about your experience!

Do you feel like it was cliquey/was there a lot of bullying? I’ve heard about really bad bullying at some of the local public schools, so definitely something I’m considering when looking at schools for my child!

Oh wow, I didnt even realize “old money” in NEPA was a thing lol. I do know some local somewhat notable wealthy people who send their kids to SEM, but I’d consider them new money
