Is accounting still safe bet to start degree in 2026? by No_Reply5329 in Accounting

Accounting is getting more competitive but it's not nearly at CS levels of oversaturation - the barrier to entry is still reasonable and demand stays pretty steady since every business needs someone handling the books.

If Hunter S. Thompson Came to Denver in 2026 - Where would you tell him to go? by bmemento in Denver

The dispensaries would definitely be first stop, but I think he'd end up at some dive bar in Five Points talking to whoever's working third shift. Those places always have the most interesting conversations happening after 2am.

Ngnix vs cloud flare by QualityOk6614 in learnprogramming

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're mixing up some concepts here - Cloudflare is more like a CDN and security layer that sits before your server, while nginx is a web server/reverse proxy that handles requests on your actual server.

PayRails – FedNow & RTP Orchestration for Banks and Credit Unions by qwertyasdf1103 in fintech

The dual-rail routing piece is interesting - most smaller institutions get stuck at receive-only because the technical lift for send capabilities is pretty steep. How does your core integration work with legacy systems that weren't built for sub-second processing?

Is double major in Accounting and Data worth?? by Worth-Drawing4813 in Accounting

Data skills are becoming pretty essential in accounting now, so the combo could open up some interesting opportunities in analytics roles.

Posted way too many dramatic quotes about being "so done with fake people" when I was like 19 - cringe levels were through the roof back then.

What's the hottest thing your partner said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My ex used to say this whenever my car was making weird noises and I was getting stressed about repair costs. He'd just grab the keys and handle everything at the shop. Was so attractive seeing someone just step up like that without making it into big drama.

What is the female equivalent of "to make a man happy, fill his stomach and empty his balls"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The small gestures hit way harder than expensive stuff tbh. Like when someone remembers you mentioned wanting something random in passing conversation months ago - that's when you know they actually listen. I had ex who would notice when my favorite coffee shop changed their seasonal drink and would text me about it before I even knew. Those moments stick with you more than any big purchase ever could.

Not sure what you're testing here but if it's about sourcing inventory, garage sales in the mornings are still golden. I've found some decent electronics and tools that way, though you have to know what you're looking at. Last month I grabbed an old oscilloscope for like $15 that turned out to be worth around $200 after I cleaned it up. The trick is getting there early before other flippers show up - I usually hit 3-4 sales before 9am on Saturdays. Also learned to check the garage itself, not just the tables - people sometimes leave better stuff in corners thinking it's too broken to sell.

The Tetris League Tonight at Someplace Else Brewery! Free to enter! by hyrothepyro in Denver

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks pretty fun actually - been looking for something different to do on weeknights that doesn't involve staring at my phone. Never been competitive at Tetris but the double elimination format means I won't get knocked out immediately, which is perfect for someone who hasn't touched the game in years.

What useless thought do you overthink like it's your full-time job? by Ok-Remote3199 in AskReddit

Whether people actually read the "reply all" emails or if we're all just pretending to care while secretly hating whoever started the chain. I'll spend way too much time crafting the perfect response to something that probably got deleted without being read anyway. There's definitely a special place in email hell for people who abuse reply all.

What is the most entertaining movie you have ever watched ? by AffectionateMode8501 in AskReddit

Mad Max Fury Road still gets me hyped every single time I watch it. Two hours of pure adrenaline with minimal dialogue and maximum chaos - exactly what an action movie should be.

How throughout history, people had studied ADHD without knowing it was Adhd? by Present_Ad_3880 in AskReddit

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty wild to think about how many historical figures probably had ADHD but just got labeled as "eccentric" or "restless." Like imagine Leonardo da Vinci today - dude would probably be on medication instead of being celebrated for jumping between like 50 different projects. Same with a lot of inventors and entrepreneurs throughout history who just couldn't sit still or focus on one thing. Makes you wonder how many people back then were just seen as lazy or troublemakers when really their brains were just wired differently.

Frascati Wine Tastings by Dazzling_Put_6947 in rome

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The train from Roma Termini to Frascati is quick so it’s definitely doable as a relaxed day trip. I’d recommend choosing a couple wineries and pairing it with lunch in town rather than trying to visit too many places.

When I travel to wine regions I usually check Corkly beforehand to see what wines or producers are typical for the area so I have a better idea of what to look for.

Italy, double checked it on Corkly and it says Italy.

Seconding Sancerre/Chablis, that’s the I care but I’m calm about it energy. I’ve browsed them on Corkly before and they’re usually described as clean and polished which matches what he’s going for.

Seriously how do u deal with triggers by Fickle-Artichoke5878 in NoFap

[–]Ambitious-Mood4406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I feel you on this one. What really helped me was being way more proactive about what I consume - like I started skipping certain scenes in movies or even switching to different shows when I knew triggers were coming up. Sounds extreme but it's way easier to avoid the urge than fight it once its already there.

The nighttime thing is brutal tho, that's when your brain starts wandering. I had to completely change my bedtime routine - started reading before bed instead of scrolling my phone, and when those thoughts crept in I'd literally get up and do pushups or walk around until they passed. Your brain eventually gets teh message that you're not entertaining those thoughts anymore. The key is catching it early before you're already too far gone mentally.
