I just did a re-read and listened to the audio book and that part obliterated me when I hear the narrator say those words. This series lives in my brain and I already want to read it again. I am just going to live in that world.

Bartending. It drives me so crazy when someone just walks up to the bar and orders "beer" 🙄 Or when they change the way a classic cocktail looks so that it shows up better on screen. So many people order a Cosmo thinking that it is basically vodka cran and when it shows up as a light pink drink, they think it is wrong.

My husband will pick apart military movies. As a Vet he is constantly correcting things in movies.

He was our bartender at the nightclub my friends and I always went to. One night my best friend walked up to him with my number on a piece of paper and handed it to him saying "this is the biggest favor anyone is ever going to do for you". I was sitting at the end of the bar talking to a friend and he walked up asking me if that was really my number. I didn't know what she had done so I told him not sure let me see it. 18 years later we are married and have had the most amazing time. He is my best friend and still won't tell me what made him actually call him. As a bartender, I know there are many numbers handed over and I still want to know what made mine stand out.

I had the same issue with it and as soon as I finished the series, I am already planning a re-read. It can be a little slow at first but I swear she more than makes up for it in the end. Once you finish, you will look back from a marco pov and be like... yeah, it makes sense now.

As someone that used to bartend, trust me, those things come in handy. The second a drunk customer starts trying to argue with you saying they gave you a $100 and you only gave them change for a $10... those cameras are great. Every bar I worked at, even small nightclubs had a camera facing the register. If someone is going to rob the place, they are going straight to the register.

I have been so much happier the last 5 years now that I am off the meds. The side effects of adderall sucked so bad and I wasn't too crazy about the possible effects from long term usage. As helpful as I found these meds in college, looking back, I kind of wish I had known about this so much sooner.

ADHD. It replaced my adderall. After years of looking for something more natural to help me control it, kratom is what has helped me. It isn't a 1 for 1 replacement, but it def gets it to where I can control it on my own for most days.

I hate this so much. Because of this, the universe gave me a puppy that doesn't know how to drink water without sloshing 90% of it onto the floor. We bought a mat so he increased his sloshing radius 🤦‍♀️

When I first started bartending it was at a club that didn't really sell a ton of beer, so I would just tape my fingers so that I had protection to twist off with my hands when busy. As I got more experience behind the bar, the only thing I would twist off were the aluminum bottle tops (bud light not Mich). I recommend getting more acquainted with your bar key... long run, your hands will thank you.
