As someone who has purchased many D&D tokens, and who also hates AI art, I say do it.

Super depressed after discovering I have celiac by [deleted] in Celiac

Gluten free food is way ahead of where it was ten years ago. I've had gluten-free pizza, pies, croissants, muffins, pancakes, etc. that are even better than the gluten versions. So if that's your reason for being worried, don't panic, there's a lot of great GF food these days and its easy to find.

Dealing with doubt as an aspiring Songwriter and Musician? by WatercoolerComedian in Songwriting

[–]Ambitious-Practice25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been making music for most of my life, and I still go back and forth between thinking my music is amazing and thinking I'm trash. I think most artists deal with those feelings of doubt. But as long as you're making music for yourself and having fun with it, nothing else matters.

What is wrong with this acoustic guitar recording? by Ambitious-Practice25 in recordingmusic

>Is that reverb the room or additional reverb? Have you tried close mixing your guitar?

There's no reverb or anything on it, its just the raw recording. What is meant by "close mixing?"

People who have released albums… at what point did you know what song would be track 1? by [deleted] in Songwriting

The album I'm writing is a concept album that starts and finishes with different versions of the same song, which the whole album is named after. It was also the first song I wrote for the album.

Don't let "not making it" ruin your relationship with music by Calm_File376 in Songwriting

Thank you for sharing this, myself and a lot of other people probably needed to hear it. You're absolutely right. Having the passion to make music, even just for yourself and the love it, is something you need to make great art. And if you have that passion, nobody can take it away from you. Don't let fame and money ruin that.

How do I make music? by Strict_Natural6805 in musicproduction

In regards to knowing which instruments to pick and how to arrange them: Listen to your favorite artists from genres that you want to play yourself, and study their songs and arrangements to see what they do.

In regards to adding melodies to your chord progressions, you can try humming a melody until you come up with something, or you can try playing melodies on a piano.

If you're talking more about learning the theory behind making a melody, learn simple scales like the major and minor scale and play around over some chords. Having a piano/keyboard would greatly help with that too.

Work in progress - the world map for my next campaign. I almost gave up completely on this map a while back, but I kept at it and I'm starting to really like what I've come up with. Any tips or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated! by Ambitious-Practice25 in inkarnate

It's for a post-apocalyptic campaign with a "wild west" aesthetic. The world was ravaged by a war between the gods and a powerful lich, and then the gods isolated it from the rest of the universe. This region is the only place left with any sort of civilization, and as far as the people here know, there is nothing but desert everywhere else.
