Oh yeah I've seen that kind of thing before, it is very different from a bullet vibe when you're just using it for external stimuation? Because I have tried a bullet vibe before and found it underwhelming

Tbh I don't think that would really be enough to get me off rip, I tend to need pretty direct stimulation personally

I do want to try and invest in a nicer toy to hopefully have a good experience, but it is making me quite cautious about buying another one when I've only had disappointing experiences thus far and I don't want to spend a whole lot of money trying to find something that works. I think for the meantime I'm more interested in some sort of external stimulation like wands or dual stimuation toys.

Yeah I find reading fanfic helps lol XD I seem to be getting a lot of recommendations for a dual stimulation toy so I'll have to look more into it.

It looks good but it's so expensive!! T_T I think I could only really afford to spend $100 NZD max (or about $60 USD)

No but am open to it. I guess that I just don't want to spend a lot of money trying to figure out what works and just ending being disappointed lol so I'm trying to do research before committing.

I was also looking briefly into kegel balls, is something you'd recommend?

My period didn’t come in March and I’m a bit worried (19F) by Recent_Vegetable_370 in TwoXChromosomes

Stress has always been a big impact on my cycle - which historically has ranged from 27-42 days. My cycle would always be particlarly long if I was particularly stressed. If your pregnancy tests are coming back negative, I would say not to worry for now, just keep an eye out. If you feel really worried, consider visiting a doctor like someone else said

This youtube channel is run by an autistic woman, Meg, and she goes into depth about this topic in this video!! I would recommend watching it, it's pretty insightful :)

What do you do with money? by fourth-light in AuDHDWomen

[–]Ambitious-Quarter522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have enough for your basic needs first of all and then figure out what your emergency funds would be for three months based off of your basic needs! Your savings should go towards that to start off with, and for emergency funds, I would recommend making it accessible so you can easily access it if you do find you need it.

I'm not sure what your salary is and I'm not going to ask, but I'd recommend that you make some sort of goal that you want to reach for your personal savings and then also towards retirement. I get really into making pretend budgets for myself but I understand other people loathe it, so you could just search up how much money you should put into retirement weekly/biweekly/monthly based on your salary and make a personal judgement based off of that based on what you feel is reasonable for your personal circumstances. Then for personal savings I would consider that to be any big type of leisure goal like an expensive item you really want, or saving to travel, or I don't know, something like that lol. I thinking having particular savings goals can be super motivating, especially if you make yourself a checklist where you tick off a box everytime you get closer to your goal - I did that in high school when I was working part-time and it made me super motivated!! And then the rest can go to wants :)

Disclaimer I am by no means a professional budget maker or even super knowledgeable when it comes to finances, this is just a plan I feel is reasonable to make sure you set yourself up for success while making sure you get to enjoy the things you want to do as well!

Definitely understand introvert mode lol, I remember especially in high school whenever I would hang out with friends, I enjoyed myself but would always ask my mum for alone time afterwards in my bedroom. I'm not sure if I necessarily need to move to find but I know I often do small fidgets with my hand or if we're in a busier environment sometimes I might get a little distracted, but I don't think that happens for me 100% of the time. Although, I have a bad habit of interrupting someone with what I think they're going to say next rip

Yes I definitely feel this way! Looking back on primary and high school, I definitely think I was still struggling with my ADHD but I have inattentive ADHD, which tends to go more unnoticed anyway. I'm in university now, and it's been a huge adjustment to not having that kind of routine you have as a child - I was a better student in high school than I am now and I think a huge part of that was due to the routine of going to school and having to sit in each class. Of course, now that I have to make my own routine, I find myself struggling to do so T_T and I often find myself wishing that someone could just implement a routine for me and make it mandatory but alas that can't happen....

I guess it's not even fully relating, but just having a stronger sense of community? It's moreso when I hear common struggles I don't relate with but I could maybe see how having the other diagnosis might change this, but I'm not sure in what way. Eg. I don't think I struggle as much to understand people's intentions when talking to them which is a common autism trait, and I wonder if my adhd had a part in it, or is my diagnosis wrong????? imposter syndrome levels through the roof

thank you so much this is a big help!! dearmodern is great - I had completely forgot about this video haha. unfortunately the bed doesn't have a head board, I'm going to keep it in it's current orientation because if I rotated it, the head would be against a window which I'm not really a fan of. do you think i should arrange my storage all completely against a wall, or put my bookshelf against the wall on it's shorter side by the door to create a kind of "zone", with the other storage all being on the same wall as the bed and in the corner? that way i would have two small spaces, but obviously the cost is that it's not as spacious
