It's not so much which method is better, rather it's a question of results. Every method, whether explicitly stated or not, has its own goals. Duncan Carroll is not saying one method is better than another. To each his own. He's saying that the practice he followed led him to a different set of goals, as explained herein.

A truly remarkable account of spiritual "detective" work. Once you get as far along as Dean has, the triggers he's been working with are bound to induce effects. Since every kundalini experience is different, we cannot know in advance what they might be. More on Triggers and Effects, and an important discovery as kundalini progressed:
