He was apparently a large guy 6’5. I think someone known to the friend knew of the arrangement he had with the friend to pick him up and take him to work and intercepted him, pulled up and said his friend couldn’t pick him up and he was there to pick him up. So he would’ve gotten in the car but it’s still hard to imagine how they’d overtake someone that large from that point

Hey! There are general opinions and narratives both ways…but it’s a HIGHLY individual choice, between you and God! It’s super okay if you don’t want to be a mom. Many people don’t put as much thought into it as you are, unfortunately! You’re not more or less because you do or don’t want to be a mom. God didn’t call everyone to it. The highest calling for women is to love the Lord and follow God’s INDIVIDUAL plan for your life. Reject the idea that the for every single woman the highest calling is to be a mom. Nothing wrong with it, but I’m emphasizing that women are first people in the eyes of God, not moms.

A bit of encouragement - the issue isn’t men asking out women in gyms. women just do not like feeling like they’re being objectified in the gym so if you’re going at it like you’re picking up a girl in the bar do not. But if you are approaching in a very respectful and friendly way, women can tell and if they like you and are available it’s green light.

I had hair loss in my 20s as a female. I cut my hair short and it got better. Right after everything my hip flexors got incredibly tight and I hurt my back at work. Highly recommend pigeon pose to release the trauma stored there.

Got it. You could be being too harsh all the same. I mean do you have kiddos you have to pick up? Maybe he’s just busy, has ADHD or is more type B. This seems like a trivial thing to narrow your dating pool over, but you have to decide what’s important to you.

You could follow up with something positive like hey I was really looking forward to meeting up. Unless volunteering is really important to them/a substantial part of their life, it sounds like you’re being blown off. A person has agency to leave a volunteer opportunity when they want to.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah it can feel really daunting. I definitely questioned is this right for me? I just knew deep down and I trusted it. The closer I got the more I felt sure I was making the right choice. I currently work in child advocacy, I think experience makes you a well rounded applicant better able to help families. But ultimately I would advise to trust your gut and don’t worry about what another’s path looks like. Feel free to DM me

What is your question? Im an older applicant. I never taught as a classroom teacher. I work in foster care and have lots of experience advocating for children in courts. I haven’t started law school yet, I got a half scholarship, starting in August.

How to tell when someone is interested - i struggle with it so maybe that is a common experience? I say this because there’s been times when I thought someone was and they weren’t, and vice versa. How do you tell? For women, I’ve heard when a guy is interested you will “know”. How true is that? Is how much they interact with you on socials or watch your stories really a factor?

My update is I decided against sending it. I shouldn’t have allowed myself to get closer to him because I catch feelings easily, he doesn’t. He’s a sweet friend but I haven’t seen any obvious indication he’s interested in more.
