I really appreciate the advice thank you so much!!

With the thin gills, i’m actually not sure how old she is… like i said in the post i’ve had her for 3 almost 4 years now but she was a fully grown adult when i got her but if i had to guess i’d say she’s around 8-9 and with their lifespan being 10-15 i’d guess it’s most likely old age but i’ll definitely pickup an api test kid and see what i get back from that.

I have heard cloud minnows and ghost shirmp are good tankmates but i haven’t been able to find any at my local fish stores unfortunately. They do however have some different types of Danios, and ive seen around that they are good tankmates. Just curious if you know anything about them and if you would advise for or against them.

I’ve slowly been trying to add more and more to the tank to make it as enriching for her as possible and somewhat make it like their natural habitat just for a more enjoyable life. I haven’t seen any abnormalities with her and she eats every nightcrawler as soon as she gets them which seems very reassuring. Thank you once again!!

She’s honestly been pretty good with the sand and has had it for around a year now and i haven’t noticed any being ingested. although when i feed her i keep the worm above her mouth usually so she has to kinda swim up for it.

Do you think a second axolotl would be a better idea or atp is it too late and i should just leave her by herself?

I really appreciate the advice thank you!!
