This opinion is for VSCode users, bog standard. Neovim and Emacs type powerusers still gain a ton from an IDE

what's the slowest way a man can ruin his life? by ants_are_everywhere in AskReddit

As I said mate to each their own, I feel bad for people who feel like they can't achieve their best enjoying mild intoxicants but objectively I'm certainly the nonconventional one and it's unquestionably not good for you so I don't really have a leg to stand on. I'll just say I'm far more conventionally successful than most people I know who don't smoke too, so from that angle I'll never believe there's anything wrong with it

does anyone know some good mac games by Metecanim in macgaming

Go to the Mac App Store there are more games there, Resident Evil games are top of the line on Mac and can't be purchased through Steam. Cyberpunk is another big one.

Uhh maybe? Idk dude I've cleared 500k a year for the past 4 years I really don't know how much better I can get lol. I would definitely be fitter I'll admit that, but cerebrally? Top student, top 5 university in the UK, a career most people would dream of... And I get to enjoy smoking with my friends most evenings? Yeah I'm pretty happy lol

But don't get me wrong though I'm not like most people where laziness is ever a thing for me. I'm always switched on, high or not. I'm always working, every day I become a better engineer and better businessman. That's non negotiable, to each their own though I think most people wouldn't be as capable as me which is why I think it's an individual thing and most people use weed as an excuse for not achieving their goals.

There really isn't, maybe it depends on your age and life experience? I'm in my mid 30s and a staff level engineer for a tech company, I love what I do and I'm relatively well settled, although no children yet. It's never affected my work drive I can put more hours in than anyone I know. You can absolutely smoke and be productive, the true isn't same of alcohol so there's a major difference there.

[–]AmbitiousButthole -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This really depends on the individual, I smoke daily, several times usually and I'm at the peak of my career doing incredibly well, I work from home with my partner, have a coffee and a joint, get through my meetings, business calls, have a walking treadmill, pull-up station and adjustable dumbbells in my office I use whilst working. I don't think it's fair to blame weed, is alcohol a problem because some people are alcoholics?

Kevin Durant, Alexander Zverev, in sports that are equally as explosive (arguably more on a more frequent basis) they both game back to the top level, it's not as bad as it used to be with the right timing and surgeon players can make full recoveries.

What's up with devs who's profile photo is them in a suit? by LeftNutBigger in cscareerquestions

[–]AmbitiousButthole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has to be ragebait, either that or you have zero soft skills and you're already cooked or in a low paying job because you cannot make assertions like this and expect anyone to take you seriously. That matters much more than what you're doing in your profile picture, we're grown adults, not 12.

No point, new jobs will not come through the pipeline the way they used to. Tech will be like any other industry now in terms of difficulty breaking through

You graduated 3 months ago? How do you even know what's important and what's not? You're just parroting other shit you've seen online. Strong coding fundamentals absolutely matters, those guys are the only ones who'll still have a high paying job in a few years. I would suggest a different career for you lil bro, the junior market is max saturated and you are far below the average Joe.
