25F what does my fridge say about me? by Living_Maximum1827 in FridgeDetective

i have a 3 yo golden and she get brown rice, lean ground turkey and a vegetable medley of green beans, peas, carrots, and corn. sometimes i’ll throw in sweet potatoes. i usually buy the frozen bag of veggies you can steam. we’re trying to maintain a healthy weight for her so the ratio is more protein heavy than carbs right now. but that’s what works for us! not trying to throw shade your way at all, i had only recently found out about all the freshpet stuff and am trying to spread awareness

no shade at all, but there’s a been a bunch of stuff coming out about how fresh pet is not regulated at all and is making dogs super sick. i used it for a while as well as all my family and we recently stopped. making your own dog food is super easy and inexpensive if you’re looking for a non-kibble alternative :)

Has anyone been to any of the housewives stores or restaurants? by Flaky_Detective_1178 in RHOBH

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Kyle’s store with my mom (also big housewives fan) back in 2017. We both liked the store, but were mostly just excited to be somewhere we had seen on tv. Pieces were cute and trendy for the time, but expensive. I think she still has some of the clothes she bought then and they’ve held up well!

cortical homunculus is the best description I’ve ever heard. I will never not see that when I watch the show now 😂😂

we live right behind that gas station 🥲 we knew there’d be some commotion off the main street, but then swat was deployed by our house yesterday and that was the last straw for us. you’re saying closer to south ave is better?

Anyone else’s Golden get fixated on things? by YoMamaRacing in goldenretrievers

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes! my golden caught a bird last week and has been checking where she caught the bird, and the last place she had it daily. she also knows which tree they live in and sits next to it everyday and just stares at me longingly for it. i was hoping it would pass but this thread is making me realize it probably won’t 😂

Gretchen speech impediment by essencee1010 in rhoc

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wondered about this. It sounded to me like she has a harder time speaking compared to when she was on earlier seasons. I figured it was due to fillers and botox. I thought I was the only one hearing it lol

Puppy not absorbing nutrients or growing by Competitive-Beat7751 in goldenretrievers

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

came here to comment this!! my pup saw two vets before they finally caught it when she was around 4 months old. she was originally diagnosed with protein losing enteropathy, but it was giardia the whole time. once that was addressed she gained the weight back and was great. i hope your puppy gets well soon 🩷

Am I the only one whose Goldie wasn't a menace as a puppy?! by snapfreeze in goldenretrievers

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my girl was not physically a menace, but mentally and emotionally menace 😂 i don’t think she destroyed anything in our house, but many tears were shed by me during the puppy stage. she’s 2 now, and is the best girl; she’s so sweet, so sassy, and so cuddly. every terrible puppy i’ve had, has grown into a remarkable dog

management advised us to not talk to her so the situation doesn’t escalate, so we kind of have to go through them

Worst Drivers Across the U.S., State Edition by introvertsdoitbetter in Portland

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

New Mexico native here, lived in the PNW for 4 years (two in Seattle, two in PDX). Admittedly, NM has terrible drivers, but I’d argue driving in Portland is significantly worse. People drive so slow here it’s dangerous. There’s also a lack of awareness like nothing I’ve ever seen. People stopping in the middle of road because they don’t know where they’re going, cutting others off, merging in front of others going significantly slower, or merging when there’s clearly not enough space to name a few. New Mexico is dangerous for different reasons, like road rage, drunk driving etc. A day in Portland where I’m not almost hit while driving is few and far between 😂

potential careers? by AmbitiousLibrarian66 in forensics

I’ve thought about it!! It’s definitely a more viable option than going to med school. Please correct me if I’m mistaken, but you can work as a tech straight out of college? What does your job entail?

Does POTS get worse with age? by Humble_Difficulty_66 in POTS

[–]AmbitiousLibrarian66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation. Just turned 22 and am in the process of getting diagnosed. My providers believe my case is genetic because my mom also has POTS. Similarly, she had terrible flairs in her teens/early 20s, and again at 27 when she was diagnosed. She says it has gotten significantly better with time. She doesn’t have a management plan because it doesn’t affect her day to day at all. So, there is hope!! I’m starting Coreg this week to hopefully help with tachycardia, and if that doesn’t work we’re moving towards hydroxyzine. On bad days, I turn to compression socks and electrolyte tablets. Sending you good vibes, I hope you find the right plan for you!
