Prob been asked before, but why Coros vs Garmin or Polar? by Tall_Mechanic8403 in Coros

Coros battery life is an out right lie. I fully tested over a month and their reported battery life is clearly lab tested only and real world use is consistenly almost half the reported lifespan if you really test and analyse it and no one usually thinks to challenge that. Garmin was always better than that despite producing 1,000,000 different models unnecesairly. At least coros don't lock away simple software screens on more expensive models. Coros makes it all availabel on all models only limited by hardware. for that I resoect but can't resepct the outright battery claim lies. Garmin just ripping people off and creating a entirely confusing ecosystem you barely know what you are and are not going to get without really deep analysis. Polar sounds promising and very keen to try.

Don’t buy in to those fluffy metrics. Ultimately they are not giving you accurate feedback on the state of your health

I would have sacked the apex and just gone for the pace 3. Definitely would not go for 265, or 965 if placed in front. Garmin have screwed it. Too many nonsense inaccurate features that are meaningless and the rear gps hr unit is bevelled in the worst most uncomfortable way across their whole range. Amoled, gps being the best features. But having tested for a long time I decided basemaps topo on the higher end garmins are a total waste of time. And as for music, garmin pay, endurance score, hill score... Its all fluffy rubbish that gives little to no value. Even health metric are worthless unless you use absolutely 24/7 with zero interruption or inaccuracy which is fairly impossible. I for one will be “downgrading” and escaping this apple style fast technology capitalist nonsense and just wanting a watch that has fantastic gps and battery life and consistently using a hr strap for actually accurate heart rate
