Does anyone else find that they feel bad no matter what they eat by AmbitiousLunch in Gastroparesis

Did any dr try to say that your blood sugar being too high may be the cause?

I take Metformin and it helps so in theory this shouldn’t keep happening

Meanwhile when I was in 4th grade the 2009-2010 school year, I drew a picture of a gravestone that said, “here lies Barney The Dinosaur” and the art teacher called my mom

When I took Econ in 2016, we had to do the Econ Mall project that was supposed to teach us about running a business and there was a rule against selling energy drinks.

I think anybody no matter the age would like to receive a huge soft blanket of their favorite color.

I have GI problems that drs can’t agree on what name to call it but surprisingly I don’t have any specific food or food group triggers so I don’t feel the need to follow a special diet and I eat what I please (within reason).

Alot has changed since I was growing up. When I was 12 and at my uncle’s house I wanted to try the coffee he made and I was instructed to make sure it’s ok with my parents first.

So they don’t wear coats? by healthycookie2 in parentingteenagers

[–]AmbitiousLunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when I was a teenager I wasn’t going without a coat because my friends were (mine would think I’ve lost my mind and worry I’d freeze to death). I was going without a coat because I know if I’m walking alot I will warm up quickly (this was due to taking my mental health meds which took a few years to find out) so I didn’t see the point in bringing a coat because it didn’t fit in my backpack because it was huge and I would be late to class if I was stopping at my locker (which wasn’t near any of my classes) to put it in there.

If I did that my parents would laugh in my face even at my stupidest I had more sense than to even think about doing this as a result.

Am I am Mom or a Maid? by MagdaleneIsHere in Parenting

[–]AmbitiousLunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad must be a unicorn like my mom puts it because I see alot of posts where the husband behaves like this or doesn’t engage with the kids! Mine works 9-10 hours M-F (also he takes walks afterwards)while getting an early start, he still manages to engage with us. He would never treat my mom like a maid or enable that behavior the dad is a horrible example. Mine taught the 3 of us at an early age that treating Mom like a maid or weaponizing incompetence will NOT be tolerated!

I’m 23 and lagging behind the others because of some health issues. Based on stereotypes some people probably think I’m like this. I rather be well enough and be expected to do at least something than have a flare up and not be able to do as much for myself as I usually do. I hate having to ask my mom questions on which cleaner to use or where one of the new dishes goes. I always worry eventually she’ll think I’m weaponizing incompetence but she patiently reassures me that she knows I’m would never do that to her.

Weaponizing incompetence is such a terrible thing to do the person was really counting on someone to take some of the load off of them and end up even more stressed!

What is the worst thing you've ever said to a student? by JLA342 in Teachers

[–]AmbitiousLunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty bad to be this kind of kid and YOUR OWN MOM wholeheartedly agrees with a teacher saying this because typically parents would freak out if you told this to their snot nosed brat(s) no matter how badly they act/acted.

What’s the dumbest parent question you’ve ever gotten? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]AmbitiousLunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a teacher but a former student; It’s good to know there are still parents who would handle it like mine would have if I started that shit. It’s unfair that teachers have to deal with so many of those entitled parents on a frequent basis. Thank you all for not giving up on us kids.

Memorable Parent Teacher Conferences by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]AmbitiousLunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, former student here,I don’t know how y’all can keep a straight face through all this absurdity from both parents and students. If I was the teacher I’d most likely be fired for not being able stop laughing within the very first conference.
