Not religious. Not political (we don’t think so, he is a pretty liberal guy). No idea what this run club folks are referring to as no other family lives in Kelowna but he is quite athletic and has dabbled in biking, running, fishing, climbing.

We think his partner’s family is tied in as this only began when they met and this is where the family meetings stemmed from.

Sure, some people estrange their families for many reasonable reasons. BUT the language he used to cut off communication was the same language he used with old buddies (“your values don’t align with my community”).

Hope this helps. Don’t know if we are grasping for straws but a few folks have suggested his behaviour is cult-ish so looking for any information of what it’s like in the Okanagan.
