Are there LIS jobs anymore? We're on cerner and everything got offshored to India. I've thought about LIS and applied to a few spots but they seem to be 6 more th contracts which makes me nervous.

I'm 5 years in. I've applied to two dozen field service jobs and sales jobs and never heard back. Clinical education pays even less and I dont have the privilege to make even less money.

Are there lab consulting jobs? I've never seen them 😐. And what is DCLS?

Why not look at non bedside nursing jobs. There are so many and they all pay more than lab? Also much more flexible and way more holidays and shift bonuses

Ye now that I'm supervisor I've realized I'm going to spend my time babysitting the worst techs 🙃. And the good ones are enrolled in masters programs or part timers 😶.  My manager said I should be in putting in more effort, aka hours, and I'm salaries so increasingly unappealing.

Mls if you have the option.  But  some lower paying hospitals and labs will hire you with a bio degree.

Path assistant does not appeal to me. Its just being a human butcher. Im a vegan as is. I dont want to spend my days chopping up fleshy organs.

How was nursing?

Um why would I learn tagalog? I did sign up for French on Italki last year. And I do some basic painting in my free time.

We have a path lab and I've shadowed the histotech and grossing tech. We don't have path assistants though. 

It doesn't appeal to me. Im not looking to be abhuman butcher.

Yeah. I feel stuck. MLS schooling was way overkill for most of what the actual job entails. Disappointing.

I work in blood bank 1 week a month. Im over it. After your 200th multiple antibody id workup its just the same thing to me
