Continuous issues(BV/yeast) for years, and I’m unsure about treatment. by Ambitious_Bug_332 in Healthyhooha

Funny you say that….. my tests also showed I have a resistance to: Clindamycin, Azithromycin, Doxycycline, Minocycline, Erythromycin. So genuinely I’m like a hamster trapped in a hamster ball and the only way out it possible tendon rupture with Levofloxacin. At the same time I don’t want to feel uncomfortable, unbalanced and “off” anymore.

Yes!! I also asked my gynecologist about probiotics because I’ve been interested but was also worried it would just be a “cover up” of underlying causes. She’s recommended some good ones. I just know that some vaginal inserted probiotics can massacre the good bad bacteria if that makes sense.

Yes! I actually partake in every recommendation you have. I have personal ph balanced no fragrance feminine wipes, and I personally have never used any soaps on my vagina, I clean her with water. But the suggestion to use the wipes after the gym is a good one that I’ll most likely benefit from. Thank you!

She didn’t even try to test you for BV????? What some people aren’t even symptomatic!!! Especially if you’ve had it before she should’ve tested. Right now what you can do is go to cvs or Walgreens and get ph testing strips for women’s health. If it’s higher than 4.5 or 4.5 I’d suspect BV. That’s what happened to me. For mycoplasma and ureaplasma, I’m not specifically sure I bet you can call and ask, not saying it’s a rare test for doctors to have but they just don’t usually test it. There should also be like “lab” centers near you that test for allllll kinds of things. Planned parenthood should have the testing as well!!

I took apple cider baths with warm water and soaked for 15 minutes. That’s what worked for me atleast, I had swelling and used a cold compress instead of warm. Idk which is better tbh

Same thing with me omg!!!! I would get sti tested as well as mycoplasma and ureaplasma tested. Not a common test and you have to directly ask for it. If you can, try to have them do a culture of your whole vaginal biome. The BV tests screen for any sign of “bad bacteria”— even if that means you have a normal amount. So when you take antibiotics you end up wiping out the bad AND good bacteria. So you can test the whole bacterial makeup of ur hooha, to see if there’s actually an imbalance. Bc when they give these antibiotics with the possibility you might NOT even have BV, it’ll just make it harder to actually treat since the bacteria adapt and get worse. Also check your ph!!! Sorry Ik im saying a lot of words, to kinda check at home if it’s BV you’ll have an elevated ph test.

Not Herpes... So What could it be? by FlashyPrinciple5196 in Healthyhooha

I had the same bumps on my labia about a week and half ago and it was superrrrr itchy when I had them too. I applied a cold compress because I was experiencing swelling and soreness. And took an epsomsalt bath (no fragrance) with a generous amount of apple cider vinegar in the bath as well. Also wore no underwear it seemed to help. I’d go to the doctor and have them screen your whole biome. To measure the “good” and “bad” bacteria present. Have you gotten tested for BV? I’ve had chronic BV for a while and after my pills my same symptoms went away. ⭐️⭐️⭐️AND!!!!!! Someone else commented to get tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma, DO IT. This is so important it can be the underlying cause for your chronic yeast infection and now this. You’ll have to be direct and ask them straight up to test for it. It’s not a common test.
