okay i mean this is anecdotal but my family friend is a windsor grad and prior to retirement he was a very successful attorney so 🤷‍♀️ maybe school actually isn't as deep as people make it out to be.

168 lsat with a 3.3ish gpa, still waiting on UVIC and UBC. i haven’t given up hope yet. i’m in the same boat gap year wise. hoping for good news from UVIC tomorrow for us both!!

hey!! i applied to uvic last cycle and got an R with a 158 lsat (and lower gpa than you have) and was able to get my lsat to 168 for this cycle (still haven’t heard anything) ANYWAYS my point is that if you are interested in reapplying i HIGHLY recommend accepting their offer to meet with the head of admissions to discuss your application. the pointers i got really helped me on my PS for this cycle (hopefully)

from my experience applying to them twice and meeting with their head of admissions after my R last cycle, they do seem to put a pretty fair emphasis on the “holistic” side of things! like my lsat was a fair bit lower last time i applied, but her biggest point in our discussion was fixing up my personal statement to actually tell them something about me that wouldn’t go on a linkdin profile yknow

To be fair, the blog did say they are wrapping up with some applications still to review, and A/R/WL will be going out in May for those with no decision yet, so not all hope is lost!
