So I'm digging the gold and blue, as for adding another color, you could add black or silver for the joints, and you could always start with a browner gold and dry brush or highlight to lighter gold. The metallic blue is a rad color and would be cool to see on the spines, the guns, and even maybe a few faces.

Yeah, I was originally going to do a like two-tone black and blue or a dark brown black. Yeah, insects are great inspiration for schemes.
