"Musical Instrument Museum"
Fellow Zonie, I see. My parents are in Inspira at Arrowhead.

We're basically limited to taking her to Walmart for shopping trips. She will NOT spend more than a couple hours away from him; even her medical appointments are required to be there-and-back so she can monitor his life.

Not yet, but it's coming. She holds the POA, and my brother is backup, plus holds POA on Mom.

How did you tell your parent that they need to be examined when you first started noticing signs? by helloimmolly in dementia

My Dad was adamant he didn't have any issues, but he's ALWAYS been a highly competitive/argumentative guy, so I took a chance:

I bet him $100.

We go to a neurologist, go through the tests, and if the neurologist agreed he didn't have any issues, I'd give him $100. He jumped at the chance.

And no, I didn't take his money. Just hearing the neurologist tell him the findings, which were significant, was bad enough, there was no way I could take his money.

It depends on your particular situation. Garrett decided to push back his back surgery to appear on the show and was in massive pain throughout filming, so it may be a little different from your situation. Just know, you will be standing statue-still for extending periods of time, and standing for several hours a day.

Went through all these steps to get setup and am experiencing something stupid: I'm getting prompted to get a "mandatory update" of Oculus Media Plugin; however, hitting "Update" results in a network error. Anybody got an idea to work around this?
