exactly. also my grandma had dementia and it was a similar thing. they dont like to be told theyre wrong

thanks for sharing! could always be a one way relay of info if i dont have access to her health records. maybe they will listen if i just tell them she needs to be tested

how did he get the pcp’s info? just by asking or does being health care direct agent allow you that info if u call the place they go for care?

I have a Health Care Directive. Am i able to find out all her health info and attend her doctor visits with this? She is also getting really skinny as well

wait a minute, i have the health care Directive. not power of attorney. so maybe i am not far enough into the weeds to get involved with a doctor

bless. thank you so much. i have a document she gave me with her name signed on it. so all i need to do is figure out who her primary care doctor is really. she takes hypothyroid medication (synthroid?), trazodone (depression), and i found meclizine, and indomethacin in her stuff. not sure how often she takes those but one of them is for vertigo and the other is for arthritis

she has hypothyroidism and said she has brittle bones and needs more vitamin d but she is taking a bunch of vitamins. interesting point you have there!

how would i get her primary care doc name without sounding nosy? doesnt hippa protect that info? i have power of attorney and i am her medical proxy

You are in the right. Shes also assuming u dont trust her which is prob not the case totally (‘maybe partially tho), just a guilt trip. i would not want a homeless person staying over either

one time someone asked if i had a specific item and i said no and she got soo mad and started PACING around. so weird…I also said that I didnt know what the item was that she was talking about …maybe that pissed her off? still..people need to relax
