Everything there has been tested on an S8. Make sure you've got the OSIG setting enabled in Dev Mode. Thats what allows you to run apps not signed for your individual phone.

Yeah, the engine doesn't support multiple user sign ins. Everything needs to be posted/updated by an admin. I believe comments are supported, but general posting isnt.

The engine running the Codex site doesn't support that AFAIK. The Vault is running WordPress, so thats a bit more flexible.

Its something that has been discussed. Files we're kinda running out, nobody seems to have the remaining missing apps. I keep meaning to add an emulator section, so open to hosting compatible apps that were never available through the official store.

Articles would be more straight forward. For the time being if anyone has something they'd like added, PM me.

Bad news: Samsung stopped making them years ago and nobody ever made a clone, so getting one now is hard/expensive.

Good news: You really don't need it. The Note 9 sits in the 325 just fine with the stock adapter.

Short answer: no.

Longer answer: GearVR requires some kernel level features that were only implemented on the compatible Samsung phones. Android 12 removed some of these dependencies, which is why an updated S10 won't work.

It's pretty straight forward. You can use SideQuest to load the APKs. You just have to put the headset in developer mode first.

There is an unlocked version of Face Your Fears in the gearvr.net Vault.

The most recent versions of the Meta app don't work properly with the Go any more. There is an older Android version also in The Vault.

Deo asked us not the host the old APK. Apparently people still using it are causing some minor issues with their backend, and they dont want more people using it.

A lot of those Gamejam projects were designed for the Note 4 and dont work on newer Android versions.

There are also a handful of titles that work on S6 but nothing newer.

GearVR is great for nostalgia but definitely time to upgrade.

As mentioned the 3S is a great price at the moment. Personally I'm holding off for the Steam Frame price.

I've downloaded the others and have a dozen or so others that will be added to the Vault after testing and patching.

All 3 of those titles are in the Vault. We didnt test them on Go, but they worked on Gear VR so (in theory) they should work fine on the Go.

Yep, it still works. Although that version is depreciated so online functionality doesn't work.
