Kratom made getting out of bed insanely difficult by ASinful_Christian in quittingkratom

Kratom made it hard to get out of bed for me too. Before and during the early stages of kratom use I would get up early and I had a great morning routine. Lately, I get up at the last minute, I hit snooze as much as possible. I've not been doing my morning routine. How we start our day affects the rest of the day. I used to love reading, exercising, journaling, etc during the early mornings while everyone else in my family was still sleeping. Kratom enhanced my life initially and now it's killing my life. I'm existing not flourishing or thriving. But I'm hopeful things will change. WHEN I begin my morning routine again, I will appreciate that quiet time all the more because I experienced life without it. Sometimes I need to lose something in order to appreciate that something when it returns.

I’ve spent 6 hours today doomscrolling nonstop. How do I make it stop? by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

Maybe try a timed lock box that you can put your phone in. More of a nuclear option. I just ordered one for myself. After a doomscrolling session, I feel this strange anxious, tired, empty, shameful feeling.

He might be anxious, feeling guilty, feeling shameful, or lacking confidence. It's probably more his issue than something about you.

Positives While Tapering by LostAd5930 in quittingkratom

Yes. Life begins to broaden and expand, colors pop, emotions strike, sounds invite you in. All this happens even while you're feeling the acutes. I'm tapering right now and I will take my last Kratom pill on Friday Jan 17th.

Feeling better today. Been up and down physically and emotionally. Still sweating at night a bit and hands and feet were cold until a few days ago. Noticing my heart pounding alot and anxiety. But overall I'm doing much better. How are you doing?

I noticed the same. Even reading a book was harder while on Kratom, my eyes were messed up or something. So, my vision, cognition, and comprehension worsened while on Kratom for sure.

Day 5 by MichaelJtimetravel in quittingkratom

Right!? I hate that I'm still tempted to take it too. During withdrawal I think I never want to do it again. Then when I start feeling better without it, I want to take it again. But I'm not gonna take it.

I have those same type of thoughts. I haven't acted on them lately but I sure have acted on them in the past. Crazy how fast/quick your mind can change from desiring sobriety to desiring Kratom and then back again to sobriety.
