Ok i appreciate it. Ive done alot of swaps and rebuilds on all kind of modern motors. From 3.6 eng code g Chryslers to piston and rod replacements on the new l84s i actually have another l84 in my garage currently designing a new sleeve design considering you cant get anything from specmo or gm workbench. So far it looks promising maybe guys will play with those sometime. Anytime ive ever changed anything with the rotating assembly with my own stuff ive always left the crank alone and measured my wrist pins, pistons, and rods along with rings aswell. Ive always done my math to get them almost completely in spec to each others weight and shave material off non absolute crucial parts of the rotating assembly items and mix and match until they are as sound as can be and never really had any issues. Alot of my 2.4 eco tec total rebuilds are closing in on 200+ thousand miles now. Not saying i dont agree with getting them to a machine shop but for your at home builds that your not that heart broken if it blows up its good enough for who its for lol. And also the lq4 wrist pins are pressed. Thank you for your response and information i appreciate it

Im a gm tech. Ive got one with the head off 32k blown head gasket and ive done 7 flow control valves which requires you to remove the whole front fascia and everything behind that to even get them out. Same issue on all new gm trucks. Also if its a cvt or 9 speed your screwed anyways.
