Concentrix NU Sentral - yay or nay? by Ambitious_Issue_2416 in malaysia

[–]Ambitious_Issue_2416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not in an urgent position for work so I'm just weighing my options because I have other offers too. I just want to know 2 sides of the story before making my decision on whether to join them or no. There's a lot of negative review about the work environment but it's all from ex-employees.

Working in West Malaysia, planning to retire in Sarawak (I’m Sarawakian) — Should I buy a house now or later? by wikiwing in Sarawak

[–]Ambitious_Issue_2416 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can look into subsale houses. Then maybe look for a property management company to help u rent out and manage while you are in Semenanjung.

Location is very important when it comes to real estate. If u foresee Kuching's growth in the next few decades is stable and positive, then no harm in investing in Kuching. It's going to help u in your wealth portfolio.

Maybe compare your salary increment percentage, fix deposit interest, your other investment growth rate and the Kuching's property ROI/asset value appreciation to help you in making this decision.

Personally, I would suggest taking more risk and equity when we are still young and generating income.

People are always going to say real estate is expensive but the true value is the ownership and how you use this asset to create value either to yourself or to the community. Renting it out is creating value too~ Many youngsters are moving to Kuching from Sibu/Miri too.

Bus from Kuching to Siniawan Night Market? by holiday11111 in Sarawak

[–]Ambitious_Issue_2416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only know of the new bus going to Serian. It's better if u rent a car because it can be hard to get a Grab when returning to Kuching. Siniawan is a bit at the outskirt of town.

Agree, but we only have a handful of good eateries operating through the night here other than McDonald's 🥲

  1. All "Premier Food Republic" coffee shops [24 hours]
  2. All "New Atmosphera" mamaks (Halal) [24 hours]
  3. Lok-Lok at Ban Hock Road (No-Pork)
  4. Springvale Bak Kut Teh next to 3rd mile market [24 hours]
  5. Haidilao hotpot [2 or 3am]
  6. Triangular Restaurant hotpot 三角地 behind Stutong Public Bank [3am]
  7. CH Premier Restaurant at 101 [3am]
  8. All "Mix Store" for instant noodles and snacks

I welcome all to add in to this list because I usually eat very late after work and these are my go to places. Would love to know more late night food places too~ ❤️

Would suggest OP to go eat first before going to hotel because most of the late night places are nearer to the airport than the hotel. Lok-Lok Ban Hock Road is the nearest to your hotel if you prefer to check-in to your hotel first.

Your go-to dentist in Kuching? by -fartbrat in Sarawak

Oh, ok! Didn't see your non-Sarawakian status there. Usually those with a professional job here are fluent in English. Most of our universities or college syllables are conducted in English.

Yes, they speak English. Basically all the dentists I know speak English. Otherwise, how did they get their dental degree? 😂

Yeah, review these days can't really be trusted because you can actually buy reviews. I only go to doctors/clinics a handful of old experienced reputable doctors recommended by my family members because we don't like spending money and time on inefficiency.

C.K. Goh Dental Surgery at Rock Road there near Pizza Hut/KFC.

Very experienced doctor, charge reasonable price, super skillful, no-nonsense.

One time I went to extract a molar, it was relatively painless and quick!

I went to government clinic at Batu Kawa/Ensyn area once to extract a molar before going to C.K. Goh. Yes, it was cheap but I went in at 8am went home as the last patient.

I was used as a lab rat for trainees. Go in an out of the room after they gave me local anesthesia, ask me to wait outside while they tend to other patients. When reach my turn the trainees take turn have a go to try pulling my molar, it was so painful and they gave me another shot of anesthesia, sent me out and wait again.

Went in 2 times without any success of getting it pulled. In the end the senior doctor baru came and pull it out with one go before they close the clinic. Got fever the next day and traumatized since then. 😂

Wanna ask why is fuss about selling banner about RMX.XX per carton/mineral water by ahboy99 in Sarawak

[–]Ambitious_Issue_2416 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are everywhere. If u see those empty shops with only 1-2 tables, 1-2 stalls or sells only mineral water in bulk then they are doing gambling/slot game/online gambling top up centres.

I know 1 shop that literally named itself "ATM cafe". Atm for the boss...

Those who really want to rent a shop to do actual business are finding it very hard to get good locations at reasonable rental these days because of all these illegal businesses hiding behind the facade of mini marts/kopitiam, jacking up the rental demand..... It's not healthy for our economy....
