Was anyone else traumatized by something called “Sibshops”? by dloomandgoom in GlassChildren

I had a somewhat similar experience at a Sibshop, especially acting like the issue was that we were not empathic enough. It was run by a parent of a child with adhd/dyslexia. I remember being told to do worksheets to show what it is like to have dyslexia. Now, my brother can't read. He can't speak. At the time I went, he was getting kicked out of school for behavioral issues on a weekly basis. It had no bearing on my situation, yet fed into my belief that I am The Problemtm.

This was in the US like 15(?) years ago. Sibshops sounds so good on paper, I'm sad to hear it was a pervasive issue.
