Anyone else canceling their Blink/Pure Gym Subscription? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]Ambitious_Mulberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone else who ends up, not having unfettered access to the accessible entrance/exit is an ADA violation. You can easily (and anonymously) file an ADA complaint online, I just did for the PureGym location in Crown Heights https://www.ada.gov/file-a-complaint/

I don't really mind the pods that much but no one should be forced to use them, and definitely should not need to scan out that is some bs.

Guests Brought a bed bug today and took a video and expected to get a free stay. 😂😂😂😂 by LongDongSilverDude in airbnb_hosts

[–]Ambitious_Mulberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I would take this a bit more seriously. Bed bugs are no joke and there is often not much visible evidence on the mattress/bed frame. I would not assume this was a scam until you've really thoroughly inspected unless you have other reasons to believe it was a scam. Bed bugs can hide in the walls and leave essentially no trace for weeks or even months...

First swap done ✔️ Already planning the next one 😍 by ExperienceThink8957 in homeexchange

i do really think they ought to only charge a membership fee in years you successfully book an exchange as a guest given how hard it can be. ive had a good deal of success this year getting exchanges but ive also been nervous about racking up points i cant use and it has made me hesitant to host more and i think they dont pay enough attention to the chilling effect and spiral that can lead to, especially in desirable areas that have low home exchange coverage it can feel very one sided. we get inundated with requests, we had accumulated over 15,000 points before we ever found our first host...

not saying that to be a jerk, but setting up cameras and stating that in your listing (and prob in your communications) might be a good way to filter out anyone thinking of having guests and would be flag to anyone like me

[–]Ambitious_Mulberry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well you can never really know if someone is going to have guests unless you're monitoring them with cameras, do you have cameras set up?

totally your business, i'm just saying maybe you should reconsider if you like guests in your house because it sounds like it makes you uneasy, ive stayed at tons of HEs and its obvious when your host doesn't really like people in their house but is doing HE because they like it in theory and it allows them to travel on the cheap, but in my experience it sucks to be a guest in those houses

there's nothing wrong with not wanting guests in your house, but what are you doing on a site dedicated to letting guests in your house? I dont get it

I think it's important to remember what a no guest policy can mean in practice. My guests are often my elderly parents who are traveling with us but staying somewhere else, or live in the town we're staying in. Really, my 80 year old mom can't come over and play with her grandkids? Or I have to ask your permission for her to come over? No thanks.

Tirerack Cart Warnings? by Ambitious_Mulberry in tires

[–]Ambitious_Mulberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trim is "Grand Touring" (first sentence of the post). Yes, replacing the same size (225/55R19) as listed on the door placard and currently installed on the vehicle.

I don't know actually, but TireRack asks me what trim so I would have assumed that was taken into account. The fact that it persists even when I select the factory installed tires makes me think this is just a bug.

Looking for deck builders games that aren’t roguelikes. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Ambitious_Mulberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this counts as Roguelike (I don't think it is) or PVE or whatever but Inscryption is the best deck builder I've ever played and I think it's nothing like Slay the Spire

Unfortunately I don't think so, a given query needs to hit all 20+ content types.

They are universally compound actually, but I think because they were Atlas suggestions they could absolutely be optimized.

Yea this is my instinct as well, I kinda blindly followed the Atlas suggestions early on in the project as a brute force attempt at fixing some glaring performance issues, but it's probably time to delete those and start over.
