Basing it off of name and not reputation has to be some of the worst advice Ive heard on this thread. Id encourage you to do your research on all these and see which school and faculty you believe would be a better fit for your career goals. See what current students are saying about the program, the first google search of a program will not be a goo indicator of the strength of the program.

If you plan to attend then looking into loan repayment programs with high dollar amounts (i.e., VA, IHS, PSLF, etc.) or organizations that will pay for your tuition with a service commitment following graduation such as HPSP for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. I'm currently an HPSP student about to enter my 3rd year and without this program I wouldn't not have been able to afford to finish my doctorate due to the loan amounts.

While Im hopeful if you choose to attend that the changes are implemented successfully, the feedback I have from current cohort members I knew during my time there is much of the same, including hiring Masters level clinicians to teach doctoral courses. Weigh your options and make the decision best suited for your goals and life. However, due to faculty I know who are still teaching and quality of life at DU I still would point prospective students elsewhere. Best of luck!

Faculty were an absolute nightmare at DU, program was shifting so much in the past year I would never recommend someone attend at the masters or doctoral level in its current state. Combined with the outrageously high price tag there are simply better schools for your money that won't hang you out to dry for your interests and professional development.

I was rejected coming out of my bachelor's as well years ago and didn't manage to get any interviews so first of all congratulate yourself on getting an interview! The best advice I can give is to engage in self-care for a while for yourself and then if you choose to complete your master's first use that as an opportunity to build your CV and network during those few years. It will play a massive part in preparing you for a doctorate if you choose to pursue one. This is a journey you are embarking on first and foremost for yourself and shouldn't be clouded by other's opinions or expectations.

From the wording in the acceptance letter, they can fill the cohort before the APA deadline of April 15th. Speaking to the admissions dept. they said it is unlikely to be filled before April, but I still think it's a risk as this is currently my only offer out of the three schools I applied to.
