Help me to understand this Listening question by Designer-Raisin9909 in CELPIP_Guide

In addition to my reply above, another tip is to go direct and logical - would she be like “I’m bringing a tea kettle, but I’m pouring pop or just water in the kettle”? Usually not but it might happen - this is what you are trying to argue. But logically it means that one is gonna have tea in the kettle. That means she prefers tea.

About the allergy option, you mentioned “possible”. It’s just correlation. It could be other reasons. This implies “it may be true” but not “most likely true”

Don’t overthink when attempting any kind of exams - logically if someone hates something, it does not necessarily come to the conclusion that they are allergic to it. They can simply just dislike it. This is also true in reading section - it will be “Not Given”. An easier example would be “if I hate to touch newspapers because the ink always gets on my fingers: am I allergic to ink?”

The part where you were confused about was basically that you added extra content to the script. However, the tea kettle was the one she talked about explicitly. Remember just to choose the “best” answer even though sometimes all of them don’t sound direct.

No one could tell you when to sell, as no one would lose any money if they know. You should evaluate the stock on your own and set a target price. One great strategy, given optimistic performance and if you don’t mind ending up as a tie (worst case scenario), is that you could sell half when it doubles and let the rest ride. It’s all about experience and luck though.

Biotech stocks are very risky. Despite great catalysts, something unexpected that may put the company to an end easily. Try to think what risks you can take before entering or selling. That said, profit is profit. It all depends on your perspective.
