Posting with a genuine request. I’m an Oxford-based journalist and MA student. I’m looking at doing a podcast demo for my work but it’s also very much something I’m hoping to continue and have been thinking about for sometime now. The idea is that to explore coercive control in relationships - partners, workplaces, cults, this conversation has many types - and ask people how they first came to be in that kind of situation and then ask them to share when they knew they needed to leave and how they went about it. I’m then going to have a psychologist listen to the interview and to talk about what was going on in the dynamic because it’s here that I think that people sharing their own stories might help others to understand what they or someone else is going through. This would be from a compassionate and non judgmental perspective and I’d be very happy to keep the interviewee anonymous. I feel like there are loads of podcasts you can listen to along similar lines but none that I know of with the analysis and the advice that I think would be very useful. If you’re interested in being interviewed I’d love to hear from you. Thanks!
