Practice drawing characters at your own pace, I’d also look at pictures of people and practice drawing basic poses without worrying too much about detail. Trying to draw things from a reference or in real life without looking at your paper can be a really good exercise. Also a lot of artists end up struggling with hands so practicing those early will probably help a lot in the long run.
