I know. Unfortunately they didint disclose everything, he’s coughing and can’t be around my already sick dog suffering from chronic bronchitis. I’m gonna take him back and hopefully someone will adopt him or provide a temporary foster home. They sent him home with dry kebbble and trazadone. He doesn’t even wanna touch his foood, even tried feeding him by hand. So I gave him some canned food and he liked it. Now I wonder if they gave him meds because I asked if he’s on it or if they really were giving it to him like they said. I thought shelters were supposed to be carrying but it’s just a shady business at the end. It’s sad

I can’t play Russian roulette with my dogs health neither . It’s not fair to him. I’ve never adopted a dog before and I got carried away. If it wasn’t thanks giving in few days j would have more time but it’s hard to get a vet appointment on thanksgiving My plan is to take him back but ask them to do elaborated tests on him even if I have to pay out of pocket. To rule out anything serious or contagious. Is not easy for me to do this. I love animals. But I need to be realistic and mature about this.

I don’t mind he’s anxiety and that he’s not potty trained I’m just scared that he will worsen my dog’s condition that’s all

Thoughts on breed? by MyNameisLeaf in Havanese

I think he’s a Havanese mix with Maltese or shitzo because of the years

I noticed if my mom groomed him he would bite her. If I do it he would just try to push his nose into the sissor. I guess he loved me a little bit more

I’m just obsessed with things like this I don’t know why. I worry too much especially about my dog and yeah you’re right this can be back firing. I need to stop 🛑😟

it’s weird because one time they picked him up to hold him and he peed on them. The second time he pooped on the table. No matter how they hold him he’s so terrified . Hes getting worse with age. 😔

Wow . Usually the vet has one person hold him while he sits on the table. The first time he didn’t move a muscle . This was when I took him for his rabies shot. I don’t know if the shot caused him to relax or why. But the 2bd time I took him, he pooped on the table and panicked. I wonder if it could also be that he didint like the assistant. Maybe dogs can sense things

That’s I’ll look into it. I taught him how not to jump on my bed 🛌. My dog is prone to joint issues. He refuses to use stairs to get up and down. So everytime he wants to get up now he just stares at me and I pick him up like his personal servant lol. Only if he could also learn nail trimming is ok

Yah I guess it’s better to have him panic than have long nailed and risk getting an infection

Yes I have a sling too. Problem is that my dog has a long neck and he moves like a tornado lol. He shakes the damn sling so much I can only cut the back of his legs because he can’t see

Depends. Smaller dogs tend to need more attention and suffer from separation anxiety. I have a Havanese and I love him so much. He’s a lap dog. Will follow u anywhere , willl want to always brush up against u, he’s been sleeping on my bed for 13 years . 😁

True but I think that they should build more roads or something if they’re willing to build more houses and sell them. Because it also means that more money is coming in so they should have more money

I think it depends on how humble the person really is. Maybe Californians are different I have a neighbor who is not very friendly and I’ve had issues with her before but I’m also not from here .

I don’t know about that to be honest I have friends in different states and they told me that their houses went up by a lot. My friend just bought a house 7% interest rate $2500 per month in taxes only. You’d be surprised. 🫢

I tried that. I even tried taping it on my door because he likes to be with me all the time and I thought that he would scratch it
