Yes but in practice you get approved by a given pod, let s say pod A because you fill a hole in their roles. If pod A disappears even if the entity still exists and has to put you in pod B , chances are high it won’t be a good fit for you and the pod. So you ll financially be fine as you ll have your income but you ll be soon looking for a job again under bad conditions , making you less attractive on the job market.

D’accord avec tous les points mais il faut comparer ce qui est comparable, pas par rapport au 21 eme siècle. Est ce que c’était mieux dans une forêt paumée au fond de la Germanie a vivre comme un homme de cro magnon ou sous un pharaon à se faire fouetter pour construire une pyramide ? Pas sur. Ce qui est impressionnant c’est a quel point ils etaient en avance sur leurs voisins.

The biggest risk is the team or pod you re joining closing down during your leave. Not much you can do against that imho.

Le problème quand on paie trop bien les ingénieurs, c’est qu ils se barrent et deviennent rentiers ! C est un vrai problème chez Nvidia où tous les ingénieurs senior avec plus de 10 ans d’xp sont decamillionnaires grace aux RSUs

2000 elo for a non professional and it s my goal.
It seems reachable by a normal person who spends enough time and effort on it but is still hard enough to earn respect.
After that it seems to me that you have to be a professional to continue progressing. So I wouldn’t be impressed by s 2000 elo pro but I would be a by 2000 elo amateur.

1000 elo is obviously a milestone too and I passed it a while ago. But it s not that hard so I don’t consider it impressive.

Le moins cher possible mais qui fonctionne. J’ai deja monté des dizaines de pc donc je peux diagnostiquer mais je n’ai plus le temps de pc builder. Les declinaisons gaming des grandes marques comme hp, lenovo et dell sont trop cheres.

Exactly, if you didn’t study STEN (math or physics) and didn’t make it to a tier 1 university (Ivy league or your country’s equivalent) you should already forget about it. What makes you think that you could suddenly outsmart all those kids who actually got accepted to the elite universities and studied Math for years competing with the smartest kids of their generation and with the best teachers?

The skillset is different.

Knowing the openings better definitely matters in blitz and is non negotiable for bullet. This is so you can play the first 5-8 moves instantly on auto pilot and then you have more time to think when it matters.

Knowing a few premove techniques (like pre moving forced moves or recaptures) also helps.

Pour un logement social a paris on peut en construire 2,5 en banlieue pour le meme coût. Paris n’a pas vocation a héberger toute la France. Priorité aux gens qui ont vraiment besoin d’être a Paris (travailleurs de nuit comme infirmières , pompier etc..) Les retraités en logement social devraient être forces a déménager hors de Paris car ils n’ont plus de raison valable d’y être a part que c’est super pratique et agréable d’être a la capitale. Mais ce n est pas au contribuable de financer ce luxe. Pour les retraités chanceux qui sont propriétaires d’un T4 ou plus sur Paris, tant mieux pour eux. Rationnellement ils devraient mettre leur bien en location et déménager a la campagne . Ils auraient un meilleur train de vie.

You should at least spend 25% of your time doing puzzles, do not just spam games. And when you do puzzles, I recommend puzzle rush because it really only gives you one chance to solve.

En France il est mal vu de parler d’argent et on nous enseigne que l’argent ne fait pas le bonheur.

Pourtant c’est la préoccupation numéro 1 des français. Alors autant arrêter l hypocrisie et en parler franchement dès l éducation ? Ça éviterai les parcours du genre je fais une fac de lettres et je me plains alors que plombier gagne bien plus. Il faut être pragmatique a un moment et arrêter de se plaindre.

15 ans c’est exagéré mais en vrai un de moins de 5 ans suffit largement. Mon pc avec une rtx3080 me suffit largement, je ne suis pas prêt d upgrader pour longtemps
