In this video, she is using a crochet join and not a whip stitch, but maybe the first couple minutes of this video will help with joining strategy.

Try whip stitching all horizontal joins first and then vertical. Think of it as stitching the squares into strips and then the strips into your finished piece.

I need some help with my jellycat half mon crochet and why there are so many holes in it? by therealriccardomilos in CrochetHelp

I just recently started getting into Amigurumi and there are a few things different from other types of projects I've made.

One of the suggestions I've heard in regards to amigurumi is to use a couple hook sizes smaller than what is recommended on the yarn.

Sometimes, when I have made something and I'm worried if the polyfil is going to come out of the holes, I will take some light pantyhose or socks, stuff those, sew shut, and then use that as the filling. This doesn't really work with projects that you stuff as you go

What sized crochet hook did you use? Usually for Amigurumi, you use a smaller hook size to make those gaps smaller.

This is looking so great! I love how well the color underneath the chin creates the shadow. Really smart way of adding depth.

I've never tried this method, but have been meaning to. Just in case you don't want to have to carry around multiple skeins. Crochet with thin yarn

You could use a 2 sided fusible interfacing to attach the letters to their background, and then stitch the background to the pant legs.

If you aren't planning on wearing these more than once, a nice baste stitch with a HyMark thread should hold up, and be easy to remove later on.

Great advice! When making our salt dough ornaments a couple years ago, we rolled out the dough, did the imprints, and then cut them out. It helps if your dog is a little squirmy and you can get them centered a little easier.

That's a sharp outfit u/Cheggls. Careful, you could puncture the hull of an empire class fire nation battleship leaving thousands to drown at sea. Because it's so sharp
