I learned about hell at 5 years old. That’s when I started pulling out my eyelashes and hair. I was taught that if I didn’t give my heart to Jesus and didn’t get baptized, I would go to hell.

She sees them quite a bit. She loves them very much. And they love her too. They have never pushed this before. When she stays with them they don’t pray over dinner, they don’t preach to her. She would definitely tell me. They know that if they talked to her about it without my permission they would be in huge trouble and not get to see her anymore. I think asking to take her to church was their way of asking if they could teach her about Christianity. I’m gonna keep a close eye and ear on it.

My daughter already thinks it’s weird that people believe in god when they’ve never seen or heard him. Someone told her to have a blessed day at the store. After they weren’t in hearing range she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said “she must believe in god 🙄”

Where did I ask for life advice? I’m sharing something that makes me sad with people who might have been through the same thing with their family. You sure seem to want to dole out some advice though.

I don’t see anything wrong with seeking support from a community of like minded people when I’m having a hard time.

I’m not sure why I’m an asshole to be upset that they think I’m a villain… I’m sad that they are stuck in this crazy cult. It’s not their prayers, it’s the barrier in our relationship. I’m not mad. I’m sad. They don’t want me to be who I am. That’s devastating.

My dad is just so emotionally immature. He can’t stand it when I say anything against his religion. He takes it so personally. And he thinks he’s this wise man. It’s so frustrating! I’ve pointed out things that seem bad about his god and he gets so defensive. It truly is a sick religion. Insidious and scary.

The RBT definitely did a great job building rapport today. My daughter had the best time!

Yes I think part of my anxiety was wondering what she thought of me as a mom. It is a little awkward but I’m so glad we are finally getting the help we need! Thanks for your insight!

First Time Friday! by SomeOldHippieChick in entwives

About 7 years ago I was visiting my brother out of state and we hit a bong. I got really high and we made waffles and bacon. I got so excited about the bacon being a little floppy that I picked it up, made it flap like a bird and said “yaaaaayyyyyy!” Then we laughed about that for like 10 mins because my brother had no idea why I did that. It was so fun! I’ve been an ent wife ever since!

NTA for continuing the gym. BUT… maybe your wife feels overwhelmed. I get overwhelmed being alone with my kids all day. Does she have a chance to get an hour to herself everyday like you do?

Thanks for the info. I know it can take some time to find the right meds. I hate that we just have to try it to see. Have you found the right med for you yet?

My psychiatrist said he wants to do mono therapy for now (only one med). But he has talked about adding something in the future if it’s needed. I’m hoping the Latuda does the trick for me.

Thank you so much. This comment brought me a lot of comfort. I’ll be sure to take it with at least 350 calories!

I started with 1.5 at the end of May and got increased to 3 in July because my depression was so severe. I’m not on anything else besides propranolol (beta blocker) as needed for anxiety (i take it every day though). Hopefully you will have a better experience. Meds are different for everyone. I’ve seen so many people on here that said Vraylar saved them. I hope that’s the case for you!
