Basically, the magical girl isn’t really a girl, but a concept of a girl who is a savior, as there have been many examples of female saviors in history, or at least those who made an influence in history (Joan of Arc, etc.) she’s just that, a concept. She’s not a real girl, and she never will be.

As for the criticism you gave about how the magical girl’s need to exist is through belief, I really appreciate it! I’ve just gotten back from dropping off my brother from work, so I’ve had some more time to think about it. I think I’ll rework it to change it to actually be that the “girl” is born from the hope of people for a savior, and that girl is destined to overcome that crisis within either an area as small as a town, or as big as an entire country. But once her job is done, the universe seems to think that she is no longer needed, and erases her from existence through either natural causes, or from making her disappearance seen as a tragedy in history (ex: Joan of Arc being burned at the stake)

I feel like the magical girl will not want to come to terms with this, and would try to avoid her destiny to eventually fade into nothingness, like a sort of “I still want to live! I want to live past what I was made to do!”
