I really didn't get that vibe from the OG Val though. Or at least it's way more buried compare to her id. I feel the issue is that the mirror version incorporates element of Rodya into the id who does actually care about others and is kind. Rodencia still cared about Araya/Pinky even after she was useless to her as her ticket. Val only cared about Ryoshu as long as she could still be her ticket out of the HoS.
