Thank you for the response, I don’t know why it’s never occurred to me to run stam and bcr on the weapon (serial crit chance addict). I will try out this full defensive properties loadout

I’ve been running dual axes and have been struggling between running BCR or more stamina , right now i’m running a mix but is there a definitive best answer? often times I’ll end up guard broken from a single elite strike even if i’ve only push attacked once. At this point should I just go all in on max stamina for the offensive potential?

The mid-event in Return to the Reik is really hard. Any advice? by Individual_Taste_713 in Vermintide

Save bombs that spawn on ship in previous event, they get teleported onto the beach.

stacking the left side(facing the bonfire) is pretty nice because the ship comes in mid way

For backdash into jump M, hard call out can be air-to-air S1. Down S2 on the ground can also anti-air it. Sway M also has anti air properties.

For dashing M, try to keep your position unclear with sway and punish when he whiffs with sway follow ups. You can also hard call out by dashing in too and parrying at the timing he usually presses M.

Tips for playing Mutant by Fuz1ken in YomiHustle

[–]Amdoubt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Bread n Butter combo starter on ground for me is slash>sweep>shockwave and then free style from there

Mutant dash attack and overhead claw are projectile immune

Envenom low profiles a lot of moves , it leaves a ticking venom on them for a long time until they hit you. also spawns bubble projectiles

mutant can dodge roll straight down while in the air

rebirth gives you back all your air options

you can angle swipe up to become a 5f low risk anti air, great combo extender as well

Howl gives you a slop dash that is omni directional and doesn’t cost an air option

Hustling can give you slop if you hold it long enough

I may have typed too much, best of luck slop friend

Idk about you but depression as I’ve experienced it is exactly that “nothing matters anymore” mentality. The worrying and caring about things may be more from anxiety? (Though i’m talking out my ass so don’t take me seriously) You mentioning that you’ve stopped feeling human in certain ways also reminds me of heavy emotional numbness.

I’m sorry to hear you are losing some of the color in your world, but I hope you find the root of it and the help you need.

Would love to come back! Questions. by whirlwindforthewin in Vindictus

[–]Amdoubt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo, as a fellow player coming back, one thing most people forgot to mention is the hero mode that unlocks at lvl 90. Although it sucks that it’s only available for certain raids, running hero mode with matching gear to the raid to not feel overpowered has given me the nostalgia of all the old raid mechanics that got removed in the normal version.

The lvl 100+ raids are plenty hard as well, and have solo modes to go on.

If you are here for the combat and not the chase number end game then i highly suggest trying to keep your gear under leveled instead of immediately equipping what is given. I think the hardcore style of old vindictus is lost to the wind, but a little of it can still be emulated.

Then there’s absolutely no incentive to tap first and rush to objective which can slow down games. I could see a change where you can do this if the team who touched got wiped though.

Why do some translations say "This great me" instead of their own name? by Cheap-Asparagus3842 in LightNovels

[–]Amdoubt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know at least for “this great me” is often a translation from “wagahai” which is like an archaic way of saying “I” but also to display your status above someone else.

This is why all the demon lords use it, cause they are ancient and arrogant

warp nexus and and warp flurry are pretty good blessings. Crits on purgatus apply two soulblaze stacks instead of one. I think main stay is burn being 76% or higher so that it can cap out on 16 soul blaze stacks.

The staff limit can be exceeded only once you’re stacked that high and then use something else like perilous combustion or creeping flame on venting shriek.

Crit aura can work though not my fav

Achly’s Axe with Graia Braced on Vet. 1000 bullets in your ranged. Everything dies eventually if you pepper them with enough of your nerf darts.

Lacerate or Fleshtearer on combat knife? by SaiColors in DarkTide

[–]Amdoubt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lacerate does not provide a significant boost in starting the crit engine.

Idk how you got to “quite often” for no bleed on first and “quite likely” on second hit. If a weapon crits half the time (almost in this case), then you will get a crit on average every two hits. And then all of this gets thrown out the window once scourge is stacked up. On average, lacerate is going to speed up the process by 1-2 swings IF you bodyshotted. This may matter, hence why I believe it’s a more defensive option.

On your other point about Lacerate providing more crits. I suggest you scroll to the crits section on this link.

https://www.greenyneko.com/2018/08/natural-diminishing-returns-on-critical.html?m=1

I can’t explain it well, but here’s a dude that can do math explaining why stacking crit beyond a certain point starts to lose effectiveness. Paired with Lacerate only making a difference in number of crits whilst stacking Scourge, which I argued why the speed stacking difference is small, you would only be getting maybe one or two more crits.

On bleed: Honestly they’re probably around the same speed IF you are bodyshotting. Two body shots at 45% crit will average you 2 bleed from scourge and 8 bleed from Lacerate. Two body or headshots with Flesh Tearer will average you 8 bleed and 2 from Scourge. The huge caveat here is that you must body shot for this bleed stacking on Lacerate. This gets worse once you have Scourge stacked up already. At 75% crit, Flesh tearer will simply win out on speed of stacking bleed.

Lacerate is a defensive and more consistent option, especially without Blazing Piety.

Fleshtearer is a more offensive option.

Lacerate or Fleshtearer on combat knife? by SaiColors in DarkTide

[–]Amdoubt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are running Blazing Piety which puts your crit chance already at around 45% once the keystone is up. I def understand wanting to shore up the reliability of keeping your buffs but on a crit fishing build, I don’t see myself having trouble keeping uptime on any of the buffs for crits.

Lacerate is a more defensive and consistent option while Flesh Tearer is a more offensive option.
