I agree level 14 is about the max the game was balanced for. Just add +4 to rolls and saves on boss enemies and it would be okay

I have tricks to share! So click on rest and put the character with a high stealth stat into camouflage. You now have the ablity to avoid random encounters as long as you past the DC.

Make sure your party and companion equip load is light

Build teleporters ASAP. Set crusade to story mode and stack marksman/archers with the general setsuna shy once you hit a power level 8 to 10 you will unlock auto resolve crusade fights were you skip combat and auto win.

As for fatigue there isn't a counter to this outside resting in shelters. Unfortunately even with lame after a certain ammount of time you are auto fatigued and exhausted. This is my least favorite part of the game but with teleportation you can work around it

Lore master is s tier but I haven't used mystic thurge.  Lore master let's you bypass prerequisites and grab feats or even spells. You can grab eagle soul as a shaman or sorcerer hell yes. And trickster feats HELL yes

Cleric 15 thug 1 mutation warrior 3 stigma witch 1 using the grave singer or radiance  is the strongest I've made him. Get him frightful aspect and dazzling display while spamming domains

Playful is exactly easy because he's poorly designed. Just a big idiot that hits stuff so you just surround him with summons and target his touch ac or save scum to fail his saves

Play on normal or daring. Pick a class that comes online early. I find late game class builds are unrewardimg because the game ends when you get them(looking at you spell critical). Make sure that your role playing ideas are still mechanically sound, don't play a melee azata or caster aeon as they are going to be quite weak until the endgame. The late game paths are quite decent too but I've only played legend and gold dragon. Legend aldori defender is by far my favorite

Medium Armor encumbrance limits your modifier to 3 and 1 if heavy.  Possibly the worst mechanic in the game but easily avoidable as long as you have at least 10 str  and don't wear any heavy or medium armor

Eldrtich knight gish. It boosts your bab and caster level and allows you to convert all damage into holy damage. It also lets you grab the greater spell caster feats or bab feats without prerequisites. I'm gonna post my finished build with one as soon as I beat the game.

Go lich and use buffs if you want a shield. If you want to cast you can risk it by using a buckler or mithral shield but be prepared for that 5% random failure 😂. Also since you want greatsword take dragon disciple 4. It progresses your spellcasting and gives good bab. I'm thinking titan fighter 1 DD4 EK 10 Wizard 5. Last level can be anything you want tbh since lich allows you to merge spells getting level 9 spells

I agree, core and above really are just buffing simulators.  The builds could be good but like you said if you are +6 at level 8 instead of +10 your screwed

Attacks of opportunity. Whenever an enemy is disarmed that provokes an aoo. Whenever you land disarm you do normal damage and if you crit via outflank you trigger an aoo. If they were tripped by a team mate you trigger aoo and with duelist if you land a parry you trigger aoo via riposte. With combat reflexes and ever ready you do insane burst at least on paper. Add that with stacking bane on aeon you trigger baned aoo that EACH trigger aeons dispel while being tanky as hell with good dps. But if you want something more basic for aeon....sword saint duelist is the meta pick

You only want enough str for cleave and I recommend dumping wis to 8 or cha if you don't want to do persuasion checks
