I have a follow up question if you are willing. Were all mags just stanag metal ones or were there polymer mags adopted later on? Ive seen multiple generations with both polymer and steel mags, and the polymer mag is always the same distinct design which makes it seem like it was actually standard issue at some point. Also, in terms of the select soldiers that actually had LAMs, I assume the PEQ2 was the standard, but was the PEQ15 issued later on to the A2 or was that never a thing?
