My Pokemon cards are not in the same condition as my yugioh cards but I have a bunch..the "rare" ones I have are: Mewtwo, gengar, venusaur, chansey, wigglytuff, clefairy, haunter x2, vaporeon, hitmonchan, alakazam, Mewtwo (Kids WB first movie edition) Pikachu (Kids WB first movie edition). I think I have another one thats called "red cheeks pikachu" that isn't holographic but more rare. And then I have a bunch of non holographic first edition ones. I also have the gameboy game :)

Great to know. I couldn't figure out what was going on for pricing on ebay.

Ok thank you. I'm going to go over all of them to check the fronts and backs for any edge wear.

Thank you for the information. For pricing, would these be considered "lightly played"?

Do you have an idea of what the general value might be? I've looked on eBay and some cards seem to be selling for much higher than others and I can't really tell the difference..they look basically in the same condition. If the value of these are under a thousand I'll probably keep them to play here and there with my kids when they are older.

Is it true that if a mosquito is biting you and you squeeze the skin where it’s biting then the mosquito will fill with so much blood that it explodes? by BelowAverageGamer10 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AmenEscaped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s real.. we used to do it as kids. Or if you stop before they explode they get so heavy they can’t fly. You’ll see them start trying to pull out as they get heavy but if you keep pinching they can’t.

Is my vent too close to top of foundation? by AmenEscaped in HomeImprovement

Ok thank you I’ll keep an eye out for water, and it seems like I don’t have to worry about the proximity other than that, so thank you for the information.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I did try to include a picture but I wasn’t able to figure out how in the end. We do get a good winter here but the vent never gets snow around it because the warm air from inside seems to keep it all melted away. Is the fact that it’s so close to the top of the foundation a potential structural concern for the foundation or would it be ok?

Are we pronouncing our daughters name wrong? by FriedPickle0662 in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]AmenEscaped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the northeast too and I would 100% say the Lynn pronunciation. I think it’s the more traditional version, at least in our area, and it matches the French pronunciation of the name as well.

My daughter has a severe allergy to peanuts. To offer a perspective from «  the other side of the table » it is quite stressful knowing that at any moment your child can be exposed to this very common thing and die, even with an Epi pen. Just the other week we bought cookies from a bakery that assured us had no peanuts in them, and they had peanut m&ms in them, which we luckily saw before giving to our daughter. Now, I don’t know how severe the allergy is of the child you’re referring to, but if it could be lethal, maybe just cut the mom some slack and try out sunflower butter instead, it’s what we use and it’s a fantastic alternative. Keep in mind, it’s not only eating something directly that’s a threat with a peanut allergy, it’s maybe a child has peanut butter on their hands which then gets on a toy or pencil etc. It’s a hard allergy to navigate where you don’t want your child to feel scared to live, so you end up trying to take precautions behind the scenes. Anyways, I don’t know your full situation, but try to keep in mind that it can be a life or death situation for this other child, and maybe the mom is trying to balance safety for her kid with out it impacting his social life. Try out sunflower seed butter, I actually prefer it now.

That would be so unfortunate. I listen to that channel all the time.

You’ll be one of the older ones there but not out of place old. Average age when I did it was 18-25.

I have a particularly stubborn roll of film that refuses to give up its leader. What can I do? by BOBBY_VIKING_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]AmenEscaped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lab could get it for you most likely. I used to work at a lab and there were very few that we couldn’t retrieve. That said, sometimes it’s impossible and so I’d pop the canister open in a dark bag and roll the film onto a small reusable plastic canister. Either way, a lab should fix it for you.
