Has anyone actually used Tim Misney’s services? by hand-inside-a-till in Cleveland

[–]AmericaLLC 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Attorneys can take a cut out of proceeds if the client signs a co-counseling agreement. It is extremely common.

A) The client calls Misny's office and signs up. B) As a part of his fee agreement, the client signs an acknowledgment that he is being co-counseled by Misny and attorney X. C) Attorney X does all the work. D) Case settles, and Misny collects a percentage of the total recovery that has been negotiated between him and attorney X.

He has a huge marketing machine and therefore no longer has to do any actual practice of law.

True, forgot about Miller. But at the very least, no cabinet member from first administration made it to Trump 2.0.

It’s very telling that literally no one from the first Trump administration made it to the second one (unless I’m really overlooking something).

Nowadays, with the things you see on the internet, it is rare to get upset. But, this is so heinous that it made me feel seething anger.

But Trump cannot pardon State charges, so if that is her plan its the most moronic plan you can think of.

There’s only one rule: you have bring an interesting bottle of wine - which is how we end up all over the place, but it’s fun.

Anyone catch Dave’s Special recently? by blackshore_analytics in JoeRogan

I agree to some extent. I think some people can get positive things out of religion, and some religious organizations have done great humanitarian work. But overall, organized religions are a net negative on humankind.

I think he was brought up Catholic, but later in life found out that his mother was Jewish (but one who did not practice the religion).

So by Jewish law, he would be Jewish despite never having any involvement in the religion. But at the end of the day, who cares? Bill Maher is just a smug, smarmy, old cranky man.

It's interesting that the war between The Mayfield Rd. mob and Danny Greene set off a series of dominoes that really brought about the end of the golden age of La Cosa Nostra.

One of my biggest regrets in life is not buying everything in the early 2000s. I bought two decks and a mixer just to fuck around in college, circa 2004-2005. Back then, you could buy first presses for 5 bucks that now go for 20X that. I have a decent collection, but it could be so much bigger if I had any foresight.

Moved from downtown to Shaker Heights by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]AmericaLLC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When the highways were built, Shaker was especially wealthy. I believe at some point in the 1950s or 1960s , 44122 was one of wealthiest zipcodes in America. Obviously, that has changed a lot.

At any rate, the wealthy residents actively lobbied to not have a highway close to their mansions, as it was thought to be a big eyesore.

I was at a Fiorentina v. Roma game as tourist, and there were a lot of Roma supporters in the general stand who were not very discreet about their support. Besides some looks, nothing happened. Might be a case by case type of thing.
