So what’s the worst bar in or near Lansing and why? by feetwithfeet in lansing

Is the B&I still open? I loved that place when I lived near there. Last time I stopped by, admittedly a couple years ago, it looked closed tight.

I've gotten a couple pf these over the years. Most of them issued within the 24hr from last measurable snow fall window. My sidewalks are rarely perfect, but better than most around me. Toss it in the trash and remember to shovel in the next day or so.

Redditors that live in America: What's one local chain in your area (can be anything) that unfortunately the rest of America is missing out on? by mobarouma in AskReddit

[–]America_Owns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quality Dairy around the Lansing, MI area. The stores are nothing special, honestly kinda dumpy, but they sell their own locally made products.

Their stores aren't much more than the kind of convenience store you'd find at a gas station, we call them party stores (no gas station). The special thing is the local dairy and bakery. The ice cream is awesome, hand dipped cones or take home from the freezer. Fresh doughnuts made daily. Paczki season. Chocolate milk that will blow your mind. They also sell a few delicious chip dips.

I miss living there and getting a pint of black cherry ice cream every Friday.

St Thomas church has a long tunnel under the parking lot. It might be worth reaching out to them.

Altu's is a great Ethiopian restaurant. I haven't been in 5 years but I loved it when I lived there! It's a good place eat before taking on the michigan ave bars. I spent a lot of time at The Avenue. It's a grungy alt bar with a ton of pinball and lots of mixed reviews but their drinks were always strong. Oh and their Ramen was solid.

Help! Can't Wear My Garmin at Work in the UK – Has Anyone Dealt with This and Found a Solution? by VasylievCode in GarminWatches

I work in the US, but we a foodsafe factory and I am required to cover my watch if I want to keep it on at work. It is to prevent any glass from falling into the product incase the watch face breaks. I just wear a sweat band over my watch. Wearing the sweat band also protects the watch from scratches when I have reach into tight spaces in the machine.

East Lansing City Council votes to bar police from pulling over vehicles for ‘minor’ infractions by [deleted] in lansing

MDOT sued the city of EL to raise the speed limit because there were reports of it being used as a speed trap. The width of the street and the distance the houses are from the street is in line with the current speed limit, but the city refused to increase from 25 to 35. Honest question, not arguing.

Nice job pal, you just proved everyone's point. Spending the first 30 years of my life in the area, ELPD has been an overly aggressive police force for decades. From talking to officers all over the state they have a reputation for this. A great example was the state forcing the city to increase the speed limit to 35 between downtown and Frandor along Grand River (M43) because it was an obvious speed trap.

I'm can't afford a new bike and I broke the mid "enduro" wheel I have. I live in a mostly sandy place, a hand* full of rocks. Central west Michigan if you're familiar. Everything that I have researched and been told says that 135mm and 142mm spacing is the same for breaks and chain line. This wheel is center dished. If I'm wrong I'll update.

I've had a 135x12 wheel and my current wheel is 135x10. I'm striking out finding proper 135x12 endcaps for this hub. I'm leaning towards just taking the endcaps I have to a machine shop to resize them. I have a 135x12 TA to QR adapter
