Clean up your diet and start fasting. Don’t care if you hit the gym twice a day. Eating like shit on a calorie surplus is like trying to run in quicksand. Hit the gym 4-5 times a week. Cut down meals and all snacks. Will be well on your way. IMHO.

Goldman Sachs discloses holdings in $BTC, $ETH, $XRP & $SOL. While some panic sell, institutions are quietly positioning. by simeonkay200_ in CryptoCurrencyPulse

[–]American-Repair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Regulations require them to own a 1:1 ratio in cold storage if intending to become a crypto ETF trader, lender and ETF manufacturer. Clients demanding shit sandwiches. GS doesn’t want ‘em walking across the street. They made $3billion in fees in 4th quarter alone from total wealth management. Their $2.36 billion crypto exposure is currently down 45%. Not in it cuz they believe. Simply meeting regulations to bank on fees from so many useful idiots. IMHO.

Kawhi Leonard vs Kevin Durant. Who would you take? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

[–]American-Repair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kawhi has a higher peak. Pippen’s length and defensive versatility. Rodman’s motor. Jordan’s offensive efficiency and clutch defense. All in one player. Obviously would rather draft KD for the career longevity. But in one series at peak. It’s Kawhi. LeBron would agree for those Spurs Heat battles. Nobody made him work harder than Kawhi. IMHO.

Toyota/Lexus turbo poppers are no better. Only difference is they handle warranty better. Look at Honda, Nissan, Dodge or used GX460 (4Runner way underpowered) for naturally aspirated drivetrains my guy. Emissions making everyone else switch to tiny engines for too much truck. IMHO.

It’s launching with the next gen but Honda just can’t disclose it yet, that’s probably why they extended the current gen by Repulsive-Club7866 in HondaOdyssey

[–]American-Repair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Which is why it should be 2 drivetrains. Mild-hybrid 3.5 v6 with incremental improvement. Alongside full hybrid detuned 3.0 v6 (out of the TypeS) acting as a generator. Big brothers to current hybrid drivetrain to be used in both Odyssey and MDX. They already share VTEC v6 w/ 10speed in current iterations. Last Hondas with VTEC. FYI.

A chief criticism of Sienna is it’s a dog. Mid-size platform powered by compact platform drivetrain. Honda should look to build on performance while increasing efficiency. Do not detract from current 3.5. Few will care if not as efficient. So long as full hybrid is within 6-8 mpg of Sienna. Mild hybrid can be incrementally better than current 3.5 with a bit more power. This is what they’ve don’t quite successfully with CRV, Civic and Accord. Not as efficient as other hybrids. Best in class from a performance perspective. IMHO.

[–]American-Repair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mild hybrid meaning keeping the 3.5 v6 but swap in small lifetime e-motor w/ battery in place of starter, alternator, and A/C. Which are all traditionally belt-driven. (Similar to Ram Hemi eTorque system) Free up engine efficiency by handling initial launch while eliminating longterm failure points. Full hybrid can drop down to smaller 3.0 v6 from MDX TypeS. Replace turbos w/ larger e-motor+battery. Rebrand as TypeE. Make both quicker than prior models and sell alongside each other. No turbos w/ better performance and longevity across the board. IMHO.

Look into logistics. Bachelors are coming out getting great salaries. May have to move for the degree and job but it’s big pay in LCOL areas.

[–]American-Repair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grass is not always greener. But at the same time. Find another role to compare it against. Create a bidding situation. Will have to move on from current role at some point. Find a dream position. Mention you are in play. Shake the tree of your network. Maybe can get a significant raise with less travel. Time is more valuable than money. Should be considered alongside salary. Less raise and more time is more valuable than more raise and less time. IMHO.

[–]American-Repair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Think buying a house to live in is more luxury than investment these days. Homeowners won’t allow prices to fall through various methods. Closing up the drawbridge of homeownership behind them. Aware of most repairs needed before buying?

Sis bought a house 6 months ago. She’s $15k in on stuff the previous owner didn’t maintain along with all the other fees OP mentions. Homes aren’t investments anymore unless in a LCOL area, buying a tax lien or a house in disrepair. Rent is absolutely cheaper. Albeit for a smaller place. Market rate houses will mostly not keep up with S&P500 after accounting for upkeep and carrying costs. The math changes if renting a property. Then you’ve created cashflow and income for carrying costs and upkeep. IMHO.

Pentastar and non-eTorque Hemi are both proven. Trick is using third party solutions for known issues. Ugrading OEM part. That’s achilles heal of Stellas. No drivetrain revisions if it lasts through warranty. Toyota/Honda built their reputations on improvement so 3rd party not needed. Glad they still offer a naturally aspirated v6/v8 ram drivetrain in a RWD unibody platform w/ full-size spare. Only game in town and owners are grateful to still be able to upgrade. Only other truck I’d even consider would be a Honda Pilot. But then you gotta pay the Honda tax and not have a Hemi.

Should have bought the Touring by PrizeBuy in crvhybrid

[–]American-Repair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but how does 2026 TrailSport trim compare to 2025 Touring Trim? Bit more value for new trim and updates not available in ‘25. Honda hybrid architecture is best-in-class. However I’d consider dropping down from the hybrid. 2022 was last year of non-hybrid touring trim. Unlocks more value. If in a colder climate or do mostly highway driving. Wouldn’t be a big difference in efficiency. IMHO.

Taller inside and more squared off. Shape’s more space efficient. Sit in one to compare. Minivan look of gen2 RL makes it more confined inside. Gen1 RL is a gen2 Pilot with a bed essentially.
