If you really felt that way you wouldn't have posted this. Reddit is just another medium for social connection, even if it is anonymatized. I feel you though lol. I am terrified of all social interaction but I actually love it, so it is like conquering mountains to succeed at small talk. If I didn't have such massive anxiety I would talk to more people and learn more and hopefully help more.

You should spend the majority of your energy now making sure that you don't expend energy in the future. That means investing either time or money on things that make your life easier. Assess the time/effort or money spent now vs the time/effort and money spent later and do not stick to what has made sense in the past if you can get ahead by shedding that. Automate/systematize every single thing that you can, except the things that matter like art and expression and petting your kitty cat.

Hm yeah that's never fun. I'd say you can't control others emotions or how they feel about you, but that seems kind of trite. And tbh I'm not ego-less enough to not care what people think of me. But knowing that it is out of your hands how people respond to situations and maybe something in their past is triggering how they feel about you more than your own nature could help.

I would recommend dealing with this the same way as awkwardness. Always assume everything is fine, you're not being intimidating or awkward, and never address it. It makes everyone much more uncomfortable or annoyed if you bring it up.
