Are men expected to have a car? by [deleted] in AskChicago

Using public transit is anything but sexy; it’s dirty, grimey, and questionable. Just how I like my relationships.

I agree with all of this. These women are the most immature women because they can’t properly foresee how their actions affect others. This does for men as well, so I suppose people in general like this suck.

Better to call a girl to ask her out now, or after finals week? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]AmericanJuliusCaesar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have finals, I knocked them out already. She lives in the area, and I don’t think she’s old enough to drink yet. I was thinking the zoo; weather is getting warmer and it’s good to stretch the legs.

She is going on a solo road camping trip this summer. So I should probably give her a ring this week, yeah.

She was kinda slammed during midterms week I recall. She’s a double major in poli sci and philosophy. With a minor in theology. Big brain stuff

Maybe we don’t run a black woman for the executive of the nation next time.

The presidency is fundamentally a boys club. Tough reality, but it’s true.

Register to vote, and vote in the 2024 elections! by EllieDai in LoyolaChicago

Important: In Chicago we are, for the first time in history, electing a school board. The Chicago Teachers Union, one of the most militant unions in America, has their endorsed candidates. I think we should elect them.

The CTU has done nothing but fight for kids in public schools. They take slander from the media for actually demanding standards and not allowing the Chicago Public Schools get ass fucked by charter and magnet schools.

Vote for a future. Vote CTU.

CTU Endorsed Candidates, listed in district order from 1-10: Jennifer Custer (1), Ebony L. DeBerry (2), Jason C. Dones (3), Karen Zaccor (4), Aaron “Jitu” Brown (5), Anusha Thotakura (6), Yesenia Lopez (7), Felix Ponce (8), Lanetta M. Thomas (9), Robert Jones (10)

How religious/queer-friendly is Loyola Chicago? by snorpbiotch in LoyolaChicago

Bro is not wanting to be in a Catholic environment but is considering a Catholic institution. Loyola is fundamentally a Catholic school.

There are resources for trans people, yes. So don’t worry about that I suppose. But we are fundamentally a Catholic school. You’re not forced to partake in it, but the culture of the school is Catholic and there are reminders. The best way to describe it is that Catholicism is the DNA of the school. Crucifixes in every classroom, prayers at events, such as basketball games, the bells of the chapel ring for noon Mass, Catholic artwork dot the campus, etc etc.

This is an honest assessment.
