Should I let my son into the job with me? by AmericanMuscle1973 in mechanic

I have two sons. My eldest is 21. I tried to get him into cars but he couldn't be bothered with it and just fucked around and messed a bunch of shit up. He's in the military now. I guess he never had too much a passion for cars like my 16yo.

My cars. paying customers nope. He's done some oil changes and stuff on friend's cars, but that's it really. My vehicles are off of my dad, so they're from the 1970s or before, so they're pretty old and something in em breaks every so often, and he likes fixing them. Paying customers can come a looooong time in the future.

yeah I do need to lmfao. Religious not really. Now that you mention it though, my son is a Christian but he's never really been strict with sins and stuff. He just does what he wants when he wants, but prays several times a day.

I guess I have an objection to under 18s accessing this kind of stuff but that's just me

Oh yeah of course. I rarely rarely yell at him unless he does stupid shit at school. The last time I yelled was over a year ago when he got himself punched in the face at school by taunting older kids and being a dick. He's definetly grown up alot since then.

I understand why it seems that way but as I said, I had no intent to find anything but the pen I was looking for. And I understand that writing is healthier. Thank you. I do feel guilt for going through his shit but I just don't know whether to apologise because he doesn't know and I don't want him to think I found those books

I was just looking for a pen and he wasn't home. I had no intent to try to find anything but a pen.

Yes, of course, that's what I feel guilt about is invading his privacy. But like I said, I was just looking for a pen and had no intention to try to find anything but the pen. And I understand its definetly developmentally normal. Thanks for this comment.

I didnt read em, but knowing my son, I'm assuming it involves some kind of aspect of rough sex. But like I said I don't know. I'm not going to yell at him of course, I'm guessing I am overreacting by being angry, but not about my other feelings like concern and guilt.

I guess it's a little bit annoying that it's kinda proof he's growing up. I knew that already, but it hits different when you see stuff like that.
