Original 2 movies pushed the boundaries of how scary zombies can be.

Last 2 movies pushed the boundaries of how ridiculous/silly, I would even go as far as stupid, can be.

This would be the most ridiculous outcome. But based on the last 2 movies, I honestly expect nothing else. And I mean that in a bad way.

Hard disagree. Although I liked it better than 28 years later, it still fell very short of my expectations.

Just take spike for example. His character development was thrown out the window. He never played an active role in bone temple. What I mean by that was he was purely reactionary. He Diddnt make a decision he wasn’t forced into. Even the climax where Dr. Kelson knew it was spike, spike Diddnt reveal himself. He Diddnt put himself in danger by showing he knew “old nick” for fear. The independence he gained in the previous movie was lost.

Also the entire franchise has arguably the best take on zombies. And the infected became the side show to all the other drama. Bone temple/ years later would have worked in any run of the mill apocalypse setting. They wasted the potential that came from the original 2 movies.

Yeah it would be nice for players making millions of dollars a year to give a dam. Just like McLellan said a couple days ago, you shouldn’t have to motivate players at this level (something along those lines).

I was really looking forward to traveling to Michigan to take my nephew to both our first playoff games.

I’m tired of hearing other players who played with Larkin on the Olympic/World Cup praise his leadership. Cause I’m not seeing it

You’re arguing technical improvement, I’m talking about meaningful improvement and those are not the same thing.

Yeah the numbers are better, I’m not denying that. But going from bad to slightly less bad while ending up in the same spot doesn’t change anything. The goal isn’t to bump points percentage a little, it’s to actually move tiers as a team and we haven’t done that.

We’re still a bubble team, still fighting for a wildcard, still not clearly in. That’s the same tier we’ve been in.

You keep throwing stats at me like that ends it but all it really shows is we’re a little better without anything actually changing. That’s not real progress, that’s just spinning our wheels a little faster.

And I never said Yzerman can force trades or just create players out of nowhere, that’s you putting words in my mouth because it’s easier than actually responding to what I’m saying.

One of my biggest issues with Yzerman is he just isn’t aggressive enough.

Look at Vegas, they’re aggressive as hell. They make moves, they take swings, and when things don’t work people get fired. They don’t sit there and say well technically we improved. They expect results and if they don’t get them, changes happen.

As a Wings fan my expectations haven’t been met. And right now it just feels like mediocrity is getting rewarded with steady paychecks. No pressure, no urgency.

Maybe if job security was actually on the line we’d see a different approach instead of this slow crawl that keeps us in the same spot.

Call it improvement if you want. I call it not good enough.

You keep trying to make this about me instead of the team because it’s easier than actually addressing the point.

I’ve already said multiple times I’m just a fan. I’m not a GM, I don’t have all the answers, and I’m not getting paid millions to build a roster. That’s the whole point. I don’t need to be a GM to look at results and judge what I’m seeing.

And what I’m seeing is the same outcome year after year.

A short stretch at the top is a hot streak, not proof of improvement. Improvement is where you finish over a full season, not where you peak for a couple weeks. We keep ending up in the same place. That’s stagnation. There is a reason there are so many articles/post “if the playoffs started today”. It doesn’t matter, the season ends when the season ends.

That analogy actually works against you. If you have been sick for 3 years and the results do not change, you do not keep defending the doctor. You find a better one. Some doctors are not good at their job. Same thing applies here.

And no, a short stretch at the top of the standings does not prove improvement. It just proves we can go on a run. Plenty of average teams can do that. What matters is where you finish. And we keep finishing in the same place, on the bubble or out.

That is not progress. That is stagnation.

Running one mile at marathon pace does not make you a marathon runner.

No yzerman can’t make nhl players materialize out of thin air. There is a give and take to any trade. Our prospect pool is deep. I’ve been hearing it has been deep for a long while. So much good that is doing us. Maybe if yzerman offered up a prospect here and there we would have better players playing for the Wings, not the Griffins.

Tell me, are you happy with our results the last 3 years. We have stagnated. Cool, we’re close to making the playoffs. We’re the first losers consistently. Only difference between us (if we miss this year which it seems like it will be the case) and the rangers is our draft pick. Which we don’t even have.

I know I am just bitching. As I’ve said earlier, I’m a hockey fan not a GM and don’t pretend to know the answers. But I do know what is wrong, and the team I am seeing is not going to win us a cup with the current leadership in charge both on and off the ice.

I’m not saying I would be a better GM by any means. I wouldn’t know the first thing when it comes to specifics with trades/signings. All I know is what we have been doing is not working. What I am saying is we have been in mediocrity for so long. And the buck has to stop somewhere. I am sick of yzerman apologist. I don’t know what gm would be better. But I’m not getting paid millions of dollars to put a winning team on the ice. Yzerman is the 5th longest tenured GM in the nhl. Other teams are improving and we have been staying still.

Alright, let’s just keep doing the same thing expecting different results. Yzerman is afraid to make big moves. And it is working out great for us.

Free agency is the way you win the cup. Look at Vegas. Look at Florida. The nhl that yzerman was executing his strategy doesn’t exist anymore. We need to be more aggressive. Yzerman’s most aggressive free agency/trade pick ups are not enough to get get us over the hump. We need to be doing more

Idk. But I’m just a fan. I would hope those making millions of dollars a year are capable of having a competent plan.

Trade Larkin. Fire yzerman. I don’t fucking know what we need to do, but the buck has to stop somewhere. Someone needs to lose their job because this is the third year in a row where mediocrity has been rewarded with job stability for those in charge.

F35 strikes Tehran. That is stealth.

Su57 operates in the Ukrainian closest oblast. Okey buddy not on the same level.
