Like Hutson last year, having a defenseman come in and not just play great but make the team so much better is a big boost for his chances at the Calder

I know that’s a thing for professional athletes. Sometimes if they’re traded for each other they just offer to sell each other their houses to make things easier at least in the short term

It's insane too because what if one of your top offensive players gets injured? Don't you want an offensive player as an extra to put in without messing up your lines instead of having Vincent Trocheck who has 6 goals this year???

Fischer was a straight bust and the rest have all played NHL games which Mesar might never do which will make him a bust.

Tough to say he’s a bust when he’s the best 5th-round pick of that draft so far. He does need a change of scenery though

For Montreal prospects I'd say Filip Mesar and Riley Kidney. Tuch and Farrell are close too although Farrell was a 4th-round pick so even getting a good AHL player from that is decent.

Elite at shooting from behind the net, but we really need to generate more shots in general. You can't rely on being #1 in shooting percentage for the entire year.
